"Earthquake" Hover Tank - H04B-C
First creation that I post on MOC ! I know it's only virtual but I lack the bricks (both in color and in number) to build such a model. I'll buy it, but a 300 (~410$) lego will have to wait for me to not be student anymore ^^ About this tank, it's part of a theme I've been trying to make for a while, and that I started in real bricks. I actually made one of the four "hover engine" (but in unmatched colors, looks quite odd ^^) and that made me want to build a big model with it, so here it is ! The theme takes place in a distant future where earth is nearly inhabitable and the sole sources of power-money-almost everything are crystals and glowing diamonds (crystals being more powerful but also rarer, but that's because there's no crystal pieces in LDD ^^). I made a few hover vehicles in real bricks, this one being the biggest and the only virtual one (and also the only one with matching colors ^^). Also started a base, and i plan on doing 3 factions each with its own specialty and unique look. But enough talking, here's the pics :)
About this creation
Starting with the front, side, back and up view :

2/3rd back, with all the hatches/compartments opened

Mini laser turrets inspired by the Star Wars Destroyer (the big one, #10030)

The main gun that I'm quite proud of, a twin four-barrels sonic cannon with EAGS (Electronic Assisted Guidance System) and an anti-air missile system with auto-targeting system. The damages caused by this cannon, as well as the very low-end sound of the sonic cartridges being fired gave this tank its name.

Originally I used the dustbin handles as sonic cartridge reloader but there's a lot of things you can do with real bricks that are just impossible in LDD...

The power diamonds crates container (carry up to four crates of four diamonds each).

As I said, the power diamonds are the most common source of power so here they're used to power the main gun...

...And the engine (yeah, an engine just above the driver's cabin is not something to do in real life, but this is fiction so let's just pretend it's a silent engine ^^)

Given its function, the H04B-C had to be able to transport a crew to load the crates and the diamonds, so two benches like this one were placed in the front half of the Earthquake. The hatches on the sides are only ramps helping to get on board, but there's also sliding doors inside.

Here you can see (barely, sorry, too lazy to use the hide function on all the roof's bricks) one of these door closed.

And an inside view of the cockpit... Not much to say :)

Here you go, feel free to comment, rate, etc. :)

not bad - looks deadly ;-) ! If don't came up with that in the time, you should try for order parts... It's cheaper on the one hand and you get more than directly on Lego...

This Has A Very Sleek Design, And The Detail Work Is Great, Nice Job.

Dunno why no-one's noticed this, I think it's pretty nice. Like the controls on the inside and the exterior doors are rather good as well.
