Imperial Cruiser 117 is a powerful SHIP intended for long range, long duration, independent duty. IC117 is around 130 studs long and 17 studs wide. It has two main decks and a smaller bridge deck for a total height of roughly 34 bricks, and is by far the largest SHIP I've constructed to date.

About this creation
It has a crew of 11 enlisted and 2 officers, and has on-board capacity for up to three light interceptors. It's powerful main armament includes three dorsal twin cannon turrets, a ventral bombardment turret for extreme-range sniping and orbital strikes, a single dorsal and two ventral point defense turrets, a fighter defense missile rack, and a bow-mounted Fire Storm projector.
Each cannon fires a depleted uranium sliver at a significant percentage of light speed, accelerating it by means of artificial and anti-gravity generators. The Point Defense guns include multi-barrelled rotary gravity-accelerated guns firing much smaller projectiles at a much higher volume of fire, perfect for interdicting missile and torpedo attacks, and for engaging enemy strike craft. Fire Storm is the code name for the extremely destructive plasma wave cannon concealed in the bow.
The bridge sits atop the vessel, near the prow but far enough back to allow for a single dorsal turret emplacement.
Mounted on the bridge are a white sensor dome, a communications array, and a shield projector. The plasma shield is capable of attenuating most directed energy weapons before they impact the ship's armor, can detonate explosives prematurely, and is even capable of partially destroying solid projectiles. It is generally unable to block attacks outright, but greatly reduces the strain placed on the hull plating. The bridge itself can be removed from the hull for ease of access. Stairs lead from the upper deck to the bridge.
Inside the bridge are four command consoles and the captain's chair, currently occupied by Stragetos Nikephoros, one of the empire's most renown military commanders.
This stairwell leads from the upper deck to the lower deck.
Sternward of the stairwell is the armory, where the Strategos' personal Orange Transparent Chainsword and a variety of other weapons are stored. The standard imperial firearm uses the same principles of gravity accelerated depleted uranium as the ship's own cannon, though on a much smaller scale.
This shot of the ship's bow shows the open firing port for the Fire Storm weapon, with the barrel of the plasma wave projector barely visible within. Two crew members operate the weapon, one for fire control and the other to monitor its rather volatile plasma bottle.
The entire upper deck can be removed, allowing for ease of access to the deck, and granting access to the lower deck.
This shot shows the barracks, equipped with eight bunks and a small table. The doorway opens on a corridor connecting the hanger bay with engineering and the stairway to the upper level of the ship.
This rather bad picture shows engineering. Underneath the raised maintenance platform is the central power generator, where crystals are leeched of the prodigious energy that they are capable of storing. Also down below are a pair of storage lockers with spare crystals for the generator, along with a powerful capacitor capable of storing sufficient energy to allow the ship to operate at full combat power load for nearly an hour, or for a much longer time under standard cruise conditions.
This is a view through the sliding door that grants access to engineering from the rest of the ship. Chief Engineer Henry MacScott is monitoring the capacitor.

This is one of the interior doors. I am especially proud of this design, as the door pattern matches the Moonbase standard for airlocks and corridors, and the door itself can slide open and closed with ease.

The hanger deck here has its doors open and a light interceptor preparing to launch. It has internal room for three such small fighters. The bow of the ship can also open for ease of access, and in the event of a single long craft being aboard can be used for launch and recovery in the stead of the primary doors.
The dorsal turrets rest in these sockets, allowing them to spin freely.
These are the dorsal turrets. They are heavily armored and capable of significant elevation and a small degree of depression. The barrels move in concert rather than being independent.
This underside of a turret shows how I use technic pins to lock the turrets into their sockets.
This is the missile rack, holding 11 small missiles capable of intercepting and destroying both enemy strike craft and torpedoes.
Here is the full crew of IC117. In front are Strategos Nikephoros and Chief Engineer Henry MacScott. Behind them are the eleven naval crewmen who operate in shifts. The odd number eleven is MacScott's assistant in engineering.

Here is Imperial Cruiser 117 with several escorts. A trio of light interceptors fly CAP as an assault lander prepares to send an eight-man squad to a surface target while the cruiser provides fire support.
With this MOC I was going for size first, and I think I succeeded. However, I am somewhat dissatisfied with the blocky look, and the inconsistent surface texture caused by my use of panel sides and a smooth SNOT top is sort of jarring. However, it has plenty of interior space, the interior door system seems to be perfect, and overall I am very pleased with it. I hope to acquire significantly more 1xn bricks over time, which should allow me to move away from panel sides.
