The Foolhardy Escapade- Pt. 1
I have finally finished my half of the joint project begun by Master N the Making, I hope you have the time to look at the whole part, and I hope you enjoy!
About this creation

My day started like any other day I'd ever had. Wake up, eat breakfast, all that stuff...

Until someone knocked on the door...

SigAlex: I'm coming, I'm coming.

It was Master N, the fellow who had proposed a joint project to me, which in fact I had nearly finished work on.

Master N: Alex, Alex, Alex!!! I've won tickets to a hike!

SigAlex: Since when do you need to get tickets to go on a can just walk to a hill and climb the side of it, not that hard..

Master N: Well the advertisement in the TV said it was a special hike, very special indeed, but if you don't want to go and have the time of your life...that's all right with me...

SigAlex: Fine, I'll go on the hike...But I was planning on working on that joint project today...I'm going, but we have to be back in three hours, all right?

Master N: Lets get going then!

And without any more nonsense we both headed downtown, to where we were to be "picked up".

SigAlex: I agreed to go on a HIKE!!! Not an expedition up some Himalayan mountain, you fool!!!!! On top of that, you're slipping or falling every step! With my luck, we're gonna get plowed down by an avalanche any minute!!! It's a good thing you brought all this gear with you!!!

The biting cold seeped through my layers, nipping at my skin, and turning my nose and cheeks bright red. My fingers were stiff, and responded sluggishly to my brain.

SigAlex: UUUrrrrggghhh...

Master N: Calm down, calm down, we have plenty of food, I mean look at it this way, if I had told you WHERE we were hiking, you would've said NO!

SigAlex: EXACTLY!!!!!!

Only several minutes into the climb, after my bout of shouting, I began hearing a low drone. A rocking, rolling, churning deep noise headed to us from above...It sounded like a herd of horses, or maybe enormous elephants charging and tripping down the slope, Master N mimicked my thoughts.

Master N: Hey...what's that noise? Sounds like one of those....

SigAlex: Stampedes?

Master N: Exactly!

With only the noise as a warning a thick mist of snow shrouded us, fogging my vision like a wind shield splattered with rain, I felt blind and weak, my body felt slow and thick, like some frozen pudding as I tried to search for master N.

SigAlex: It's definitely not that!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

The ice spat and jabbed at my face, slapping my cheeks like giant, frozen hands, it was terrifying, yet exhilarating at the same time.

I could hear Master N shouting something close by, but the avalanche was capturing his words, and whisking them away before I could catch them.

I bumped into a rock, then I realized it was Master N, curled into a tight ball on the ground..

It was too exhausting, I couldn't see, blurred, shifting shapes moved about my vision, an enormous door seemed to materialize out of the blizzard...but I couldn't be sure of the truth...

Before I closed my eyes...and felt deeply unconscious...

It's not until after you wake up from unconsciousness that you realize you were deep in it. It's simply as if something blew a hole into part of your life, cutting it out from your future. Unconsciousness is nothing, you don't think, you don't dream, you can't see or hear, you don't feel emotions, or any part of your body. It feels like forever, yet at the same time, it doesn't.

I opened my eyes to the sight of a middle-aged woman face, a few inches from mine, I heard soft murmuring in the background, my face was stinging as if it had been whipped, I reached up to my cheek, my flesh was thick and slightly swollen.

My eyes cleared of dreariness and I looked around. I was surrounded by several adults, all of them wearing white robes, with pleasant, but slightly worried looks on their faces..I think I spotted a pinch of wariness on them all as well. Maybe I was in heaven, and these were angels...maybe I had died out there...

The women stood up, smiling at me, then at Master N, who was lying at my side.

Woman: You two were just about to freeze solid out there! You;re safe now, the avalanche has passed us, you've both been out for along time, you're lucky we heard your screams for help and found you.

Me and Master N both stood up, taking in the scenery. We were surrounded by thick stone walls, in the middle of the courtyard was a tall tower, torn up a bit here and there. The walls and ground were covered in scrapes and tiny scorch marks.

SigAlex: Where are we now?

Man: You're in Tolmac, a small abbey high in the Himalayas, we're all monks, we praise the goddess of life, Tolma the beautiful.

The monks all murmured "Praise Tolma, peace be made" at once.

Man: My name's Ian, looks like you've caught the grand priest's attention.

A man in even longer flowing, white robes glided over to us, he must have been in his upper 80's yet walked like water, flowing over the ground. Behind him were two other men in robes, they each help tall, red flags, and head long, drooping red hoods over their rough-looking faces.

Grand Priest: Welcome to Tolmac, men, here we lead simple lives, praying, eating, sleeping, and hiking.

I glanced at the other monks, they were all lean and muscular, each had a slightly suspicious tint to their eyes, which quickly switched back to welcoming as they noticed me looking at them.

Grand Priest: Looks like you two were really banged up out there, fear not, we'll heal and feed you until you're ready to be escorted back down the mountain by one of the monks. We have ample heat and food inside, you'll be getting taken care of well.

Then his blue eyes grew stern, switching between the two of us, boring into our hearts and thoughts.

Grand Priest: But a warning to you two, you both look like bold adventurers, but I wouldn't go exploring about the main tower, or the courtyard, you could easily get lost, this place is full of passages and hallways.

The old man gestured to the two burly men behind him.

Grand Priest: These two behind me are my little welcoming committee, the one of my right is Kent Brollick, and to my left is Aden Yatmak.

They both grunted, as if agreeing to their own names.

Grand Priest: Now let me show you your rooms, where you'll be standing, eh?

The priest glided away, Master N and I both followed, as did all the other monks, Kent, and Aden.

We headed into the main tower, and down a long, twisting hallway. The floor was checkered, and every several feet, two candlestaffs stood at the edges of the passage.

Grand Priest: Now why don't I tell you two a bit about this place? 10 years ago, a religious Sherpa party, praising the very same god Tolma arrived at this large castle, and when they banged down the door, not a person was here.

Grand Priest: Scraps of food were found in the storage rooms, but the logs in the fireplace were cold.

His story seemed very well rehearsed, and barely plausible. Who in their right mind would leave a castle like this? Along with the monks suspicious stares, the warning not to explore, and now this foolish story were all making me suspicious myself.

Here's the room you two will be staying in, I hope you find it comfortable. Dinner is in two hours, you'll both be hungry I hope, our cooks are some of the finest.

I stepped into the cheerful looking room, it was mostly paneled with wood. But at first sight, I knew there was a problem....only one bed...

At the exact same moment, both Master N and I dashed madly for the bed, shoving each other aside, shouting and tripping. At one point, he pushed me to the ground, then used my face as a step to bounce up on to the bed.

Master N: It's mine now, it's my property because I peed on it, so there!!!

I stared at him in disgust. Then he laughed.

Master N: Jus' kidding! Hahaaa!!

SigAlex: Fine then, I'll sleep on the ground...

A few minutes later we had changed out of our hiking gear. This was becoming one ridiculous little foolhardy escapade we were taking part in. Then I started searching the room.

A minute later, I found a little closet, it was spacious, with lots of room for storage and such.

A small dresser was at the end, and I tried to open the drawer.
It was stuck fast, pretty odd, but whatever, this place was more than 10 years old..

I wrapped my hand around a small pole holding up the top shelve, and gave it a tug, maybe I could push the drawer out from the back. But the whole dresser fell right towards me!

I was thrown back onto the tiled from as the entire dresser began to slide away from the wall, but instead of the tan wall behind it, darkness burst from a small door.

A reeking stench crawled from it into my nose, and I nearly retched. There was a small, black hole behind the dresser, just tall enough to crouch through, it was unlit. Dull noises echoed up from the secret passage as I leaned forward.

SigAlex: Master N, you might want to come see this.

To be Continued

Well Master N it's up to you to decide what's down that secret passage...I hope you all enjoyed this part of the story, my next project is the Stormwalker from the book Leviathan. While I work on the Stormwalker, I'll probably add a creation -I've had waiting to have added- posted every weekend.

Thanks for checking it out!!

Quoting Tyler Halliwell This is really nice. On the other hand, Please upload at least a few pics of your stormwalker! I really want to see it. Please!
I definitely will upload a full detailed tour of the Stormwalker. Yesterday didn't have favorable lighting outside to take pictures. It should be up pretty soon, but I may modify it a bit (mostly the domed top, which didn't turn out great) after posting it, and make another page for the modified model. Anyways, it will be up, most likely today.

Thanks for helping me out with this story, you put my exact idea's into this moc. I would also like everybody know that the story was mostly my idea with some Mac flare in it, but you all can blame Alex for the glorious build. Also, the second part will be on my homepage. Again, thanks.

I guess hikes are no longer "normal" in the sense of actual hikes. Now we're moving on to huge expeditions. Once SigAlex gets back, only Three hours have passed! TOTALLY CALLED IT! ~Ryan
