JSDF/JGDF ReCSIATT and JGDF A10 Particle Gatling
An experimental gun and a neat trailer/vehicle.
About this creation
The JSDF (Japanese Self Defense Force), later expanded into the JGDF (Japanese Global Defense Force) is always working on and employing cutting edge (semi-)conventional weaponry.

First up is the JSDF/JGDF ReCSIATT (Remote Controllable and System Integrable All Terrain Trailer). Originally drafted and designed in the early 1940s, the ReCSIATT proved to be a reliable vehicle time and time again and has lived on as a major part of the Japanese military for the past half a century, receiving numerous upgrades and redesigns over the years.

The ReCSIATT is, basically, a sophisticated hauling trailer. Unlike typical trailers, the ReCSIATT possesses a self-contained and remotely controllable drive system. This system allows the trailer to move by itself at speeds upwards of 10 miles per hour. Slow, perhaps, but it's still useful as the ReCSIATT can be towed proximal to a dangerous area by another vehicle and finish the trip on its own, unmanned and risking no lives.

Furthermore, the drive system can be easily integrated into and controlled by other electronic systems. This is especially advantageous to on-board weapons.

The ReCSIATT is fairly heavy duty and can take a decent beating before breaking. Its 6-wheeled nature allows it to bear quite a heavy load without buckling.

The trailer hitches to other vehicles electromagnetically. Electromagnetic couplings are the easiest to (dis)engage, however they do render the trailer hitch-able only to vehicles that employ the same technology. The front of the vehicle also possesses various sensors and cameras for controlling it remotely. You can't see them, however, as they are low-profile and blended-in with the trailer itself.

The backside of the trailer has brake and signal lights. Mainly, this is due to the fact that ReCSIATT and large vehicle convoys often drive along city roads.

The underside of the trailer, which houses the portable power generator. The generator is protected by virtually every inch of the trailer, but a well placed land mine could easily damage it.

Next up on the list is the A10 Particle Gatling. The Particle Gatling, as its name would imply, is a particle-beam Gatling gun. It's an experimental weapon designed by the JGDF to conventionalize and render mass-producible the technologies used in the EMPASS rifle. The Gatling nature of the gun allows it to fire weaker particle beams at a fast rate, as opposed to the EMPASS rifle's powerful beams fired at a slower rate.

This particular model is designed to be used as a standalone turret. As such, it possesses a fairly sophisticated targeting and sensor system built right into the gun.

The current turret model is capable of 360 degree rotation and 55 degree tilt and has a lock-on/track/hit accuracy of 77%/63%/47% which is fairly good for a prototype.

The A10 turret mounted to the ReCSIATT. The barrel rest is solely to relieve some of the stress on the turret servos when the Particle Gatling is at rest.

The Particle Gatling is capable of interfacing with the drive system on the ReCSIATT to allow it limited dodging and realigning capabilities.

Creator's Notes
First "real" MOC in a while.
I'm actually quite happy with how the trailer turned out. I thought about adding some color (maybe yellow) to it, but I think a rather plain grey scheme suits it best as it's not supposed to be fancy or flamboyant in any way.

I sacrificed the trailer of my green garbage/dump truck to make this, but I'm not going to miss it.

Also, progress on Izanami goes well. It has a new left arm, and a full head along with an improved shoulder pauldron design. The right arm socket is now an actual socket and not a technic placeholder. It's really starting to come together. I'll post a pic of it here if anyone wants to see.

Can't say much for progress on Izanagi though. Still can't get the feet and legs to look quite right. Ah well, with time and patience it will blossom into yet another epic MAS2 unit ^^

Oi, if you got this far, why not comment? Constructive criticism is appreciated! ^^

Gatlings are always a ton of fun. Looks more suited to a ground emplacement though, guarding a base or hangar facility perhaps?
