This is replica of real Predjama castle situated in Slovenia. 25.000 bricks were used.
About this creation
From 12.12.2012 this castle is on display at National Museum of Slovenia at Metelkova street in Ljubljana. Exibition will run until November 2013. Every third Sunday in a month entrance is free. Welcome!
In Slovenia, despite beeing very small country with 2.000.000 citizens, we have some 700 castles. Unfortunately, vast majority is in ruins due to WWII. Some of them stayed intact and are well preserved or renovated. One of them is Predjama castle with long history and rememorable romantic and sad stroy from times when non of todays parts of building stood. My MOC gathered castle itselfe and other real elemants (mill, church, tournier area, entrance to cave used as a horse stable, watersink cave,...) packed closer tahen in reality. Only well is fictional, but who knows it might be there in the past. Mill waterwheel is PF driven by train remote control to adjust wheel speed.
76 minifigs are arround.

Brilliant work! Very true to the actual castle. I had no idea there were so many castles there! Very cool, and good subjects for your lego modeling. Also, quite impressive to have the work featured in the museum!
Love it! Enormous of course. But also very similar to the actual castle. (I cant believe a castle in a mountain like that actually exists in the real world!). Great work. Very impressive! Going to check out more of your work now! Glad I stumbled upon you tonight. :)
