4-wide transformable Ironhide
Ironhide from the Michael Bay movies.
About this creation
After I had build my Optimus Prime I started on my favorite from the Movie, namely Ironhide.

He had to fit in with Optimus in size, so that meant that he couldn't be particularly complicated.

Once again I went for the truck mode to be fairly accurate, and the robot mode to be secondary, especially on this one since the robot mode in the movie is very busy.

3/4 view.

3/4 back.

Other side.

This is the beginning of the transformation.
You start by pulling the sides out, and tilting the truckbed backwards.
These will become his arms and legs.

Then you pull down the rear wheels, and bend the knees and pelvis.
This is for greater stability.
You can't really see it here, but the legs are separate from each other.

Then you stand him up on his legs and flip his arms down at the joint.

The last part of this very short transformation sequence is that you flip the hood down to reveal his "face".
His face consists of 2 blue eyes, and nothing more. Aside from Optimus and a couple of others, this is how all my 4 wide TF faces look like.

Robot mode front.
I didn't give him hands, instead I opted to make his signature guns.

Robot mode side.

Robot mode 3/4 back.
