A while ago, I heard of that new Green Hornet movie that's coming out, and my dad said he might like to see it because he liked the show when he was younger. I never even heard of the show, but I did some research and from pictures I found on the internet, I made the car the Green Hornet and his sidekick Kato drive, the Black Beauty. I also looked around on MOCpages and I found that I am actually the second person to make this from LEGOs. Anyway, mine is minifigure scale, although it only fits one person.
About this creation
The best view. The Black Beauty contains many hidden weapons, but only two are in my model: the hood-mounted machine guns (on the actual car they are concealed in the hood and then flip out when activated, but mine are only detachable).
The front. For the grill, I was originally going to use those 1x2 sloped grill pieces, but I decided it would look better with chrome radiator grills. This is my favorite part of the model car.
The back. I'm pretty happy with it overall. Sorry that it's all dusty, I made it months ago and left it sitting around until I had time to take pictures.
Here's Kato and Green Hornet in front of the car. In case you didn't notice it in the previous pictures, Green Hornet was actually sitting in the driver's seat of the car. The top opens to admit him. He actually fits with the hat on because of that hinged plate. I made his hat by cutting out a construction paper ring and glueing it to a Green Army Man's hat from that Toy Story set. I gave Kato a knife 'cause that's what his weapon looked like in the pictures I saw. If there are any Green Hornet fans out there, please tell me what his weapon should be!
Finally, I made a miniature Black Beauty for fun. I think it's really adorable!
