Watch these cute ducks. You can drive them with a remote control. The ducks are made in scale 1:1. To make the technology fit in the small ducks, I used a 9V battery with a special designed cable. Watch my video to see how it works!!!!

This Little Ducks belong to the White Duck family (Anas platyrhynchos). After their mother hatched them out, they lived for four weeks in their eggs. In February 2010 they were born in the Netherlands.
Unfortunately there are only two Little Ducks, because a bad rat stole the other eggs! I have two ducks: a boy and a girl. The boy has some brown feathers. The girl has an orange bill and girly eyes.
The Little Ducks look nice and they can move too! You can move them with a remote control (nr. 58122cx1).

Let’s take a look inside and see how it works.
Each duck is driven by two M-motors: one for the left wheel and one for the right. The motors are controlled via an IR-receiver. A normal battery box doesn’t fit in these small ducks. So I used a small 9V-battery.
Now I tell you more about the 9V-Battery. To apply the 9V-battery I needed a custom made cable.
This is how I made this cable: First I took a power functions cable. Then I took a standard 9V connector with cable which I stole from my dad (but you can also buy it in a store for electronic parts). Finally I cut the power functions cable and connected it properly with the 9V connector. On the website of Philo (http://www.philohome.com/pf/pf.htm) I found out how to connect.
