The second model in my new "Speeder" series. It is a modified speeder bike used by members of the Black Skull Knights (a small organization of bounty hunters that I made up). This is one of my favorite speeders that I've made. I just love the color scheme and overall design.
About this creation
Overall view of the bike. You got the nose (which is shaped like a hand, hence the nickname), the mid-section, and the cockpit (I know speeder bikes don't normally have enclosed cockpits, but this one is special).
Here is the nose and mid-section of the bike. This is with the landing gear down. Anyway, the whole speeder uses repulsor(lifts) to move, and most of them are here. There is one repulsor on each side of the mid-section, which are activated independently from the driver's controls. What they do is turn only the front of the bike, allowing it to make hairpin turns. I'll get to the spikes on the front in about two pictures.
Here is how the landing gear folds up when the bike is moving. There is a repulsorlift on the gear so that when it is folded up, the lift faces down.
Straight-on-comin'-right-at-ya view. Now I will talk about those spikes. Their purpose is mainly intimidation, but they can be used for something practical-dismembering a victims' bikes or just the victims themselves.
Back view-showing the rear repulsors that give the bike forward propulsion.
You might have been thinking that the driver couldn't see through the area of the windshield directly in front of him-and you're right! That's why the bike has a monitor that shows the terrain and other organisms/vehicles/objects around. The driver would be completely blind without this vital instrument.
And that's all for today. The reason I don't upload my creations everyday is because sometimes the picture uploader is too slow or won't work at all! I've already built a lot of creations that I wanted to put up but couldn't because MOCpages was running too slow. I caught it on a good day today.
Anyway, please rate and comment, and would it be too much to ask you to visit my homepage? The reading on my FlagCounter is embarrassing!
