About this creation
^(main) notice the splitter, the red 7L liftarm would be at angle but isn't yet supported, so I rested it against the huge air filter
^This is the rear suspension set-up looking from the back
Front- Double wishbone hard spring
Reat- Double wishbone hard spring transverse shock absorber
^The gearbox and chassis from underneath. I have removed the two universal joints and 4L axle which normally connect the gearbox output and differential input.
^Engine and gearbox from above
^Another view of the rear shock absorbers, this time looking out to the back of the car. A lot of strengthening beams needed to be added to stop the pressure required to depress the shocks didn't split the chassis in half :s
^Side view shows the roll cage which crosses the doors and will support the roof.
^Final shot looking in on the interior, notice the angled liftarms which stop the chassis bending
I finished it last night, apart from a few tubes that I'm not going to order because I would have to get them from to many overseas shops which would cost too much for so few pieces, I'm pleased you like it though and I'll post the mostly finished product tomorrow or Sunday.
Not that many of you are interested but the complete car is now finished, apart from some pieces from bricklink I'm trying to order, I've got a stronger roll cage, different rear suspension and the gear shifter is more compact as I have moved the 'box forward and used push rods to shift the gears.
