When Seihu was an Av-Matoran living on Metru Nui, he was a Mata-Taekworu Zhex founder and instructor in a small school near Ga-Metru. He was secretly chosen by Dume to become a Toa (before Dume was captured by Makuta), because of his skill and sharp mind. He was chosen 2 years earlier than Vakama, Nokama, Whenua, Matau, Onewa and Nuju. But he once met with the Toa Metru after Ahkmou abused the powers of the great disks and turned into a monster. It took all seven of those Toa to stop Ahkmou. Since then, Seihu and the Toa Metru became not only comrades in battle, but comrades off battle.
After the Toa defeated Dume(Makuta) and Roodaka later on, Toa Seihu went to Mata Nui with the Toa Metru and used up his Toa powers to free the Matoran. He is currently a Turaga still teaching Mata Taekworu Zhex, especially to Yahru and his new Matoran friends.
Unlike Most Toa, he doesn't rely on an elemental power. He just relied on his fighting skills and swordsmanship.
As a Toa he wielded the Energy sword; while as a Turaga, he holds a spear as a Badge of Office as well as a weapon.
About Mata-Taekworu Zhex
Nicknamed “The Honorable Mata Way”Mata-Taekworu Zhex is a matoran style of martial arts. It is a hybrid of many styles of armed and unarmed martial arts. It uses strikes, punches, kicks, joint locks, throws, grappling, and weaponry. The philosophy behind it emphasizes the three virtues of Mata Nui: Unity, Duty, and Destiny.
1.Unity: Learning teamwork, friendship and good sportsmanship with fellow students. This can be done by learning from others, friendly but competitive sparring, and overall communication. This is the first thing emphasized when students come in.
2. Duty: It's up to the Matoran or Toa to work on their health as well as study the curriculum. They must also have the motivation to play their role wherever they are and take responsibility for their actions.
3. Destiny: Although one's destiny is unexpected, the students should always be ready to expect surprises, as contradictory as it sounds. Their skills will be put to the test one day. Whether as a Toa or Matoran, they must prepare themselves.
This form of fighting also teaches Matoran and Toa how to utilize their own gifts and abilities to their own advantage.
