My first mech as well as my first MOC posting. Kind of going for the clean armored look over the bristling with weapons look. The radiant class is meant to emphasize pecision and versatility (see weapon descriptions below) over shear fire power.
Influences include the XBOX 360 game Chromehounds (especially the Morskoj mechs), and Dan Jassim's excellent Mech 1. Dan's influence is most obvious in the legs and in the color scheme, which I outright stole. I tried other styles, colors, etc.. but nothing looked as good. At least I used dark grey instead of light :) Props Dan!
After the fact I have also noticed some similarities to Metal Gear Rex, but since I have never played a Metal Gear game (I know, I know...) it is coincidental.
Two 55mm heavy machine guns. 550 rounds per minute... kind of slow but large caliber for a machine gun.
8 barrel 6mm anti-personel gatling gun on the bottom (described in detail below).
The weapon pods on either side are modular and can be fitted with different weapon configurations depending on the mission. Payload shown consists of four 220mm rocket tubes and a light rail gun. Using a discarding sabot the rail gun fires a 3kg tungsten rod at 4km per second resulting in a kinetic energy at the muzzle of 24 megajoules.
The 8 barrel gatling gun. Designed for anti-personel use it's 6mm rounds are ineffective against heavy armor but at 9000 rounds per minute it's devastating against infantry. Ammo capacity varies depending on mission parameters and range from 6000 to 24,000 rounds.
this is my inspiration for my first mech (well this and Scorp's Manegarm)that I made for Nova Refuge...I think its pretty good and after seeing all your other Dawn Forge stuff I'm definitely going to make more bigger and better mechs. I also love your Halo stuff...could you check out my first mech and my Halo stuff because you seem to be really active judging by how much you comment all the time...
I love how the cockpit looks like a head and the head itself looks like it wants you dead. Even if I had enough pieces (sigh) I could never make something like that. Not that I wouldn't try. You truly are the MOC-pages Mech-Lord.
LOL! at 55mm(5.5cm) it wouldn't matter how many
rounds were fired a minute, the enemy wouldn't be moving far...in one piece anyway...
This is excellent (well i can't call it good now could i?). Looks like i need to buy some more Dark bley LEGO.
(from italy) yes...you're are the best for me, in the category of mecha....all your works are perfect and complete....a true master....If you have time I would if you were looking / judging
my works .... thank you for your attention, and sorry for the English....
very, very nice, now i know i'm just another of the thousand noobs who probably review your awesome mocs but i just wanted to let you know that dawn forge was a great inspiration in the design of my own H.I.S.U.'s especially the absolver, meridian, and d-3, i unfortunately do not have quite as many legos as are needed to build something like this but i do take some small pride in my small mecha. i would love to get some feed back from one of the great mecha builders on the site as to where i can go with my mecha line i am developing. keep up the amazing work!
the guy below is right. it would be cool for a mech movie. ps: isn't it weird how you're the one who invented dawn forge, but i have made more dawn forge creations? i know that its only because your mocs are much bigger, though it is sorta odd.
What can I say about this that hasn't already been said? I've come to this page and drooled a number of times and just can't think of anything witty so... great work as ususal (I know you guys have come to expect more from my reviews, but it's late on third shift, I'm tired and should be working... you get the picture. Your mocs are just awesome. I'm going back to work now. Later ~ Chris
Great Mech! I agree with the big gaping intake grates, too. I love the cockpit design and the way the legs look when it walks. I kinda have to complain about the gatling gun. To the perverted mind, it looks kinda looks, um, weird. I think it's fine though. Anyway, the feet are cool and the interchangeable weapons were a nice feature. As usual, you have made one of the best mechs on MOCpages!
I like it, my only problem is that the Mini-gun is only 6MM, Because it's such a small caliber it wouldn't be to effective agaist Troops.... I would make it a .308 like the M134 Mini-gun, or even better, 20MM As with the Vulcan... But other than that, This is a great mech!
Eeek! YOU'RE the guy who called my Heavyfront sweet? My blood's running hot...So I'll gather what dignity I still have and say: Awesomness. I envy all your creations, and think few do better jobs at this. You rank 3rd out of 5th of my favorite builders. Can you beat Legohaulic and take 2nd?
A well deserved 5, I love this mech.
The colour scheme simpicity adds to the smooth and simple lines to make it very sleek indeed.
Smooth bodywork is good when done well, and this IS done well! The only thing that could have improved it would be to greeble the weapons more. I think it would have contrasted the simplicity of the bodywork well.
I eagerly await the next one.
I like it

This is amazing. I haven't seen mecha like this in awhile. I love the smooth look, and he looks really tough, which is also cool. You will be a welcome user to MOCpages.
Impressive, this is what i would call a mega mech, heavly armored and very awesome looking. Its cool how you built the legs wiht no corelation of "up" of the pieces you used. Putting them at different angles and such. Nice armorments by the way.
Excellent design. Very well exicuted. I'm a fan of clean lines, so this mech gets high marks from me! Im currently working on instructions for my previous creation, and I will be working on a new one in the months to come. So maybe keep an eye out. Once again, awesome MOC.
