You do not necessarily need landscape elements to play a table-top game (that's why it is table-top), but it cheers up the whole thing a lot. I really developed a passion for creating landscape elements on 32 x 32 base plates.
I really love the Halo universe and so my inspiration for this project might have come from the Halo trilogy, Halo Wars and Halo Reach where the story line leads the player more than once through arctic regions.
Somewhere beneath the thick snow cover has to be a spring between the rocks that once fed this pool, before it was paralyzed by some remorseless blizzard.
The water elements suit the landscape very well! ;)
Very convincing landscape. Yes, Halo is all about the majesty of everything, whether it be gigantic ring worlds, monstrous structures that encircle the galaxy, or sprawling cities with towering skyscrapers. Just take one look at a Forerunner Keyship, or the portal to the Ark! This MOC really captures that majesty!
