The Great "Magic" Sham
How the Alchemists finally struck gold!
About this creation
It didn't take long for the local alchemist guild to realize that there are easier ways of turning materials into gold than laboring over a hot plate for days at a time. They moved into a local town and erected a "magic temple", where in their guise as wizards they put their skills to the test and along with craftsmen and actors convince the locals that they can have the gift of an eternal life in the form of "magic elixir".

This fizzy drink, brewed on location and sold to eager citizens, is said to give longevity, wisdom, love and grant wishes to whoever consumes it, and so the poor town folk scrap together whatever gold they can find and flock to the temple to get their wishes to come true.

The citizen's gold is then melted down, cast into bars and shipped to safe-houses and patron monarchs abroad...

There's no show on earth like a magic show!

The capable "wizards" perform their craft

Peasants line up and give up all the coin they have for the "elixir of life"

A local fisherman adds his own touch to help the "magic flow"

A masked puppeteer convinces onlookers that dragons are real

The exterior of the workshop

The gold smith and his assistant melt the tributed gold and cast it into golden bars

Dragon knight guarding the freshly cast gold, ready for transport

Closer look inside

The craftsman's workshop

The alchemy lab where "magic elixir" is brewed and bottled

Magic props like these are used to put up a show for the locals

The vicious guard dog

So many great techniques used! I love the half open style you went for, and the cheese slopes for the roof look great.
