The cyberagency have discovered magical talismans that combined have the power to close the gates of hell. Each talisman has been placed in a CyberAgent (Codenamed Guardians) and sent out to find and send back to hell deamons who have broken through into our world.
Fire possesses twin sai blades capable of channelling his firey powers.
His only weakness is water which can cool his magical flames.
I'm writing this description of the design nearly 18 months after I originally created it. So you will have to forgive me if I'm a little uncomplimentary about my own design.
There had been a steady progression in the initial CyberAgent designs (I'm currently working out a way to identify these as they are currently uploaded in alphabetical order) but two things bothered me about them.
1. they had limited waist articulation
2. they all had the same head and largely the same body.
This was the first real attempt to create something different, but retaining visual queues to the same line of creations.
The primary inspiration here was the idea of magic powering these robotic warriors. So each would have a colour scheme inspired by a different elementary power. I was torn between yellow or red for fire (as you will see from the 2011 update I changed my mind).
I also wanted to try something different with the weapons. I'm actually quite taken with the triple bladed knives here.
Where this design fails its potential is the general shape. I find the extremely top heavy design too big above the waist, the groin area is tiny and the legs, while in proportion to the arms, seem some how under developed when you compare them to those shoulders.
because (at the time) I was constrained by the limited number of bricks and colours available in the "design by me" theme on LDD, some of the bricks used were only employed BECAUSE they were available in yellow. Now, given the limitless potential of the Universe theme, I would probably not have designed the chest area quite this way, nor limited myself so much in the leg design.
While these critiques imply this was the first, it most certainly was not. That privilege actually goes to the Guardian of Ice.
My original plan was to have six, white, blue, yellow, red, green and black, but due to limited brick choices I never made a red, instead I made a grey version instead. I quickly returned to my original frame for my next idea which was the "guard" series, which included the red and black guards (to date black guard only uploaded to moc pages) and the two Valkyrie designs (blue and yellow).
