Delightful Gio. Makes me want to use the word 'Whimsical' for some reason. Brilliant part useage to get organic shapes - something i'm failing badly to do at the moment so i'll be stealing yours, Tom's and Dave's ideas amongst others. Love the use of colour and the height (depth?) of the scene works really well.
I wonder if the attack turtles have cousins that live in the sewers of New York City? All kidding aside, I think that is the most beautiful seaweed sculpture that I have ever seen from a underwater LEGO diorama. It is so colorful and full of life, Gio. I haven't seen this many colors since those Milton Bradley Seascapes puzzles (or some of the Suns Out puzzles for that matter). You did a really great job in capturing the feel of a real life ocean reef and each individual coral group, sponge, starfish, and turtle felt almost alive in and of itself (and I love the improvised merman...that design was a total stroke of genius, Gio). If you're this great with colors underwater, then I could scarcely imagine what you would do with a LEGO garden diorama!
