in 2039 the british military and american military where in desperate need of a fast and reliable low altitude craft that would be used for recon and scouting missions. 3 months later american military engineers created a prototype craft known as "the mosquito". the mosquito was put through many tests, but showed to be unreliable. the mosquito prototype was sent to the british military, where british military engineers perfected the craft, which was later named "THE GREENFLY". the GREENFLY was distributed world wide and proved to be a great success in recon and scouting missions.
About this creation
the GREENFLY is a two man craft, one pilot and one gunner. (the moc holds two mini-figs)
the GREENFLY is 7.5 meters long from wing too wing when in flight mode. (obviously this isn't the size of the actual moc.) besides its tremendous speed, the GREENFLY is also equipped with a heavy duty mini-gun operated by the co-pilot from the passenger seat of the vehicle.
here you can see the full shape of the GREENFLY, it us vary aerodynamic and can reach great speeds when at low altitude.
here you can see these cool stickers i found from some old indiana jones lego sets. as you can see, they match the colour scheme perfectly.
here is a shot of the massive engine.
here is an awesome pic of the GREENFLY in stationary mode. the wings fold up and two small legs fold down.
really this was just a quick lil' moc i made for fun. but i think it came out quite well. hope you like this moc, more to come!
this moc is from my "advanced empire" series. to find out more, check out my home page.
Thats a very cool moc. I like the light green coloring, also the front looks like the best part of the moc. The minigun was a nice touch. I would rather like to see a light 50 cal. And I like the minifigs, The arm pads look nice. 5/5
