About this creation
The AEGAKS 1103 Munugami ApB-TGy "Desolator" is the end result of a collaboration of the top military reaserchers around the globe, or at least what's left of it. It's completely unique frame has a powerful reputation on the battlefield, and the rebels and drones unfortunate enough to glimpse it and live are haunted by the image for the rest of their lives.
Like the all other AEGAKS technology, the pilot block is ejectable. however, on this specific combat machine, the block has attached weapons systems. That's because this mech is designed to charge into a battlefield, and keepshooting until every last drone falls. Like all other Munugami systems, it can attach to a AEGAKS transport. howvever, the attached weapon systems can be used as turrets for the transport, giving it a little extra firepower.
Here we can see the pilot block open. design for Armored pilot block goes to none other than... our very own Rai Schraido! give him a hand, folks.
Here we can see the weapon systems on the block. from right to left: machinegun turret, headlight, headlight, machinegun turret. the headlights have a special bulb that overrides enemy drone movement perceptors for 5 minutes.
The base for the pilot block is also outfitted with weapons. It has a pair of multi-functional grenade launchers. They can be outfitted with frag, incendiary, (i spelled that correctly, right?) sensory disruption, or smoke.
here we can see another overview of the Desolator. the twin... guns are visible. 9what are these exactly? I've got no clue, but it just needed more guns, so I slapped these on.)
This is a good picture of the motor system. This Aegaks uses 6 independent legs to traverse any and all terrains. except water. and space. however, this is not the Desolator's only means of propulsion...
Woah! its a transformer! (albeit not much of one..) the Desolator's variable form is a hovering gauss turret/tank.
Remember those "gunsies"? well, they work in this form too. the "gunsies" act as an anti-personel cannons, while the gauss cannons take out bigger baddies.
these containers contain helmets and weaponry fo rinfantry
the gauss cannons. these bad boys have unmatched accuracy, are uber-explosive, and can literally tear anything apart that isn't either sheilded or at least 2 miles away. unfortunatley, it takes about 5-7 seconds to reload, so it has to be supported by at least a few infantrymen.
Engine greebbles. not much to say here. except that MOCpages is ruining my beautiful pictures.
You may have (but probably weren't) wondering how the Frak the pilot sees out of the cockpit when the Desolator is in tank mode. here's the answer: cameras. 4 cameras combine to create a fully 3-dimensional screen, which truly heightens combat awareness over 2-dimensional ones (as far as i can tell, the AEGAKS with "heads" only have one input feed)
just a lowly side shot...
The main propulsion system. this is how the Desolator gets around. it does have power to hover recovered from old drone cores, but it needs this engine to move around.
okay, heres the real reason the propulsion is neccesary: frontal blades as a homage to my favorite gaming pastime: Splattering the CrXp out of my best friends with the ghost. these blades are mainly used for intimidation, although they are completely functional. the cannons just usually rip up opposing infantry before they can reach the blades.
these again... no clu what this was supposed to be a picture of...
and, this thing. a last minute idea, this i s alittle cover-bunker that infantry can crawl into when this thing is in tank mode. In hindsight, I could have added a little opening, but whatever. It's just a bunker anyways.
Hope you liked it! remember, i like CONstructive criticisim, not DEstructive criticisim. pleas rate, and criticise in a constructive manner. And don't forget to feed the narwhal.
heyy, I remember that thing! I've gotta say, you've made some pretty frikin' awesome stuff but this is definately in my top 10 (out of like 100 or something). The BEST part is that it can transform. I also like the overall design of it. Great work MAX.
PS: POST MORE MOCS!!! (hint) (hint) the rock lord
Wwll, I must say this is quite different from the usual, still great. The fist time I saw it I thought it was a robot unit, but like Jason said, the pilot block fit in all kind of machines. That's why his theme is so cool. About your creation, you pilot block is, in my humble opinion, the best so far in all AEGAKS creations. The attached weapons was a good inovation. The tank mode is very nice, but I prefer the mech mode. Good job!
Aside from the M-frame designation error, this is a magnificent piece of work! The design is well thought out and masterfully executed. The pilot block doesn't necesarily have to be used on a humanoid mecha, but anything you care to attach it to, and you displayed this function with precision. The mecha form has a definite deadly look, but I'm very impressed with the tank mode. Declaring this a T-frame would be fitting, and so would V-frame (for variable frame designs.)
A very interesting twist on the AEGAKS theme! I have to admit I was surprised that it was a tank and a mech. When I first saw this, I thought it was a spider walker, with all the legs it has. I would personally have put blades on the legs, but that is my preference. The only technical term I would say should be changed is the designation. It isn't really an M-Frame, since M stands for medium humanoid frame. I would call this either a T-Frame for tank, or H frame for Heavy. Also, thanks for giving credit for using my APB, I'm glad someone else finally chose to use it, and may I say, you implemented it very well! Also, props for using the same color as Cerunnos Kaiser! I look forward to seeing your next creation!
