This is a Boeing 247, the world's first commercial airliner. The first plane was built in 1933, 75 were made only 4 remain in existence today. The Boeing Museum of Flight has the only air worthy 247 left in the world.
This is built to minifig scale, 73 studs wide by 54 studs long, the original plane is 74' wide by 52' long. The landing gear retracts and the interior has ten seats with an aisle in the middle just like the real plane.
It looks like it sits high but if you look at pictures of the real plane you'll see this is the way it's supposed to be.
I'm very happy with the overall build, the wings are my favorite part, the nose is my least favorite part, i rebuilt the nose at least six times before deciding on what you see here.
