Neo Trypticon
Trypticon is one of the biggest generation-1 Transformers ever made. Traditionally it transforms into a base and a mobile battle station, now I have Neo-ized him to become more than just a triple changer.
About this creation

Happy new year 2007! I better start inserting dates into my MOCpages creation
gallery so that I myself can keep track of how far I've progressed in making

Creation was done by end of 2006. But I've spruced things up yesterday, which
is the 2nd of January, 2007.

As usual, below is a specimen which I based my creation off (for those who
are uninitiated with Transformers toys =)

Trypty from the 80's

The original Trypticon transform into a base, and them a mobile battle
station. I found out he has many parts that is separated to become his companion

Creator's Notes

Actually I didn't intend to make Trypty, as I started on Black Zarak months
before. But then I found out Black Zarak won't make a really sleek scorpion if
he were to transform into a base too. And so while fiddling with my black
bricks.. i finally decide to build Trypticon .

This time around,  I do away with ALL separate parts. This means he
won't have any accessories that plugs in into him to form all his modes. And
he'll me MORE than just a triple changer (I'll leave the spoiler for you to
discover as you scroll and view the photos ^_^)

I'm using red to replace the not-so-common colors in the original trypty,
which are very rare in LEGO bricks. Red is a fierce color, I'm sure you'll agree
with me there.

And you might found out I've used a mixture of old and new dark grey bricks
in this creation. I've mixed them up in my bin, and it's really not be that
glaringly easy to differentiate in real life than in the photos below.

After I've done with the photo session, I found out (IT always happen.. just
my carelessness) there's a cosmetic fault in my creation here (which can be
easily rectified but I'm too lazy to re-snap the photos). The first fault I
already highlited out in one of the photos below. And there's another too....
*sigh* . Can you spot it ?

In his dino mode, all his limbs has more flexible joints that moves and rotate to some degrees.

I know what you're thinking. His buck-teeth made him looks like an oversized chipmunk. I hope all will be forgiven with my choice of parts when you reach the spoiler!

He still retain his famous backpack cannons! Oh how i wish I can dangle him on wires to snap photos of him on mid-air!

Actually I once thought of making these cannons sprout wings (but they will be tiny at best and form ugly towers for the base mode.. so I scrapped the idea)

   Size comparison with G2 Grimlock.
"Me grimlock scared... me grimlock gotta chow!"

As expected, the cannons can deploy in attack mode

A quickie to show how the base is transformed

The original configuration of the base mode. Notice the sole of his dino feet are actually turns out to become the helipads!

And he no longer has extra ramps on the side on the side platforms after my no-accessory-policy is enforced.

From this angle... looks like a scorpion huh.

Dino arms now can become the grapple arms that is used to perform maintenance on it's occupants.

   Cannon's deployed in defence mode!

Now both cannons can be rotated to become one centre tower on the base.

This is another base configuration... a more compact one so that Trypticon can fit in a smaller area.

Just a perfect home for my Energon Combaticons!

A few flips and twists... he turns into a Space worthy Hovercraft mode! Don't mess with him as he's still heavily armed there!

   Ok.... are you ready?
***** SPOILERS AHEAD *******

When really pissed off... Trypticon transform into a robot..!!!

It's really a great challenge for me here. I finally managed to put most of his weight on the legs (so that the upper body can be lighter... thus easier to be posed)

Attack Mode... all cannons deployed.. including his nipples.

Another way of utilising his backpack cannons. That's why I never bothered to make a gun for him. He's armed from top to bottom!
