Don Quixote & Sancho Panza - To Dream the Imposible Dream
UPDATE: Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Just a minor one I got the correct tan color brick door hinge unit! I am Playing with the thought to make this a full scene! I used the haze function to make it look dream like! UPDATED: Tuesday, March 22, 2011. I have finally got the horses (Ricinante) and I gave Don Quixote his own Vignette - the little taverna where he met 'Duclenea' ALDONZA! I included a bird in the scene as a recollection of the song " LITTLE BIRD" from the Broadway show it was a very powerful song that was a very bitter one! I am working on a Windmill! One of my favorite authors is Miguel Cervantes, I remember at Brooklyn College reading his book Man of La Mancha twice! Once it was read in English and then in Spanish! I fell in love with his character of don Quixote the "lord" of La Mancha! I have seen the movie 3 x and when the musical came out I've seen it over 50 times (I was friends with the doorman)! I saw the movie version and have both the Dali Painting (copy) and a statuette! I now have the DVD. It was by accident I discovered SIR NADROZ's version of it here on 'mocpages'. His was the 1st (January 22, 2009) and it was followed up by: Paul Vaneesch's (November 25, 2010) and Max Pointer's (December 23, 2010) versions. They say: "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!" So now let me add my addition to it! I am still waiting for my horses and the parts I need to make a small cantina! In my version I added Aldonza (Don Quixote's Dulcinea as well! (the barmaid from the Advent Calendar) I now also am waiting for the parts I need to do a windmill. I have presented two versions him with and without his shield (I am still waiting for it, for him.) Que ustedes gustarlo And this is the BEST place to DREAM your DREAMS and make them come through, through LEGO!

I love that building! It has a very setlike feel to it. And for some reason that blue background really gives it an old spanish vibe.

I always had a thing for Don Quixote. Once I got a very old version written in fraktur. Anyway, I love your 'casa' and the figs, but I wouldn't post so many pics, choose a few really good (and not blurry) ones and post just them. Quality instead of quantity - my opinion.

Nice. Pics are a bit blurry, but I like what I see. Great story.
