This is my entry for the Steampunk category of the Punked Contest.
About this creation
Somewhat obviously with the main photo, the Isabella is an airship. However, I ditched the balloons that are normally used as the source of lift with such ships for a set of propellers, in part because I thought they looked nice, and in part because I wanted to use something more original than balloons.
James Watson, an aviator...
...And his traveling companion, Professor Valentine Goodfellow, often just called "the Doc."
Mr. Watson with the single cannon of the Isabella, which is used to defend the ship against sky-pirates and privateers.
A close up of the chimney– I really like the chimney, so I'm including this photo.
Door to the cabin along with the boiler.
The roof of the cabin lifts off.
Final photo of Watson and the Doc.
Notes: I've had these photos for about a week now, but no time to post them, so I'm doing it now. This ship was a lot of fun to build, and I'm fairly happy with how it came out. I'm rather proud of it because it has studs running in six directions, which– for me at least– is an accomplishment.
