One simple question: If you started with this, what would you make of it?
About this creation
I threw this together months ago after buying and tearing down the Death Star II (got it for like a third of the retail price from this guy off Craigs List....LOVE CL!) and haven't gotten around to doing anything with it.
"You don't have sharp teeth capable of biting!"
This is assuming you DON'T have a Kelso-size collection, so within a reasonable amount of bricks. An idea like: 'I'd elongate it to like 20 feet and put like 1,000 mini-dudes in there', would not be helpful.
Other than that, let me know how YOU'D complete this beast!
I'd imply that I had a lot of bricks by making this part of an overgrown wreckage of a much larger spaceship, with jungle and mountainous landscape all around with a few other shipwrecked parts strewn nearby. And craters are always nice...
freighter. Don't make the habitable section go past the end of the 12X4 plates. Bit o' engineering mess behind that. Three chunky engines arranged around its circumference(so that head-on it would look like three lumps arranged around a central lump). Some cargo behind that, maybe a couple of containers.
Thank you all for the comments/ideas! You guys are creative, there are some crazy cool ideas here! It's been a while with no new comments/ideas so I think it's safe to anounce that I've got some good direction on where to take this bad boy. Thanks again, and if your idea doesn't get used it doesn't mean I didn't like it, I just can't do all of them.
Hi Matt:), it reminds me very much of the giant laser canon thing in the movie "Independence Day", which I´m sure you know. When it opens, it destroys a skyscraper initially (each time that it fires), but then the pressure wave of the explosion creates a much bigger yield... So since a lot of people suggested a crashed spaceship already, here my idea: You could build a diorama à la "Independence Day", with a shot down starship just like in the movie. You´ll need a lot of pieces, though:) In order to make it very patriotic like in the movie, you might want to build a few (human) jet fighters for the foreground, with posing soldiers or so (The human victory over the invasion from outer space, etc...) Anyways, an very interesting geometrical shape already. BTW: Thanks a lot for your nice comment on my military transport truck & chopper! Best regards, Steffen
I actually think I'd make it into an underground burrowing machine, I could add some nice spider-like legs and maybe a big drill on the tip...other than that, I would probably make it into an enormous human-made worm mech.
Nice start, a crashed ship would be an idea, but a large diorama would be the only way to do it justice. Maybe turn it into an orbital defense vehicle? Close up the back and slap some greebles and a huge cannon on the side.
Part of a big crashed ship, so you don't have to use that many parts, but can ramp up the scale. I'd have it crashed into a futuristic earth city - most sci-fi MOCs are alien, but I reckon we'll have hundreds of years of commercial space flight first which seem very under-represented in LEGO. Good luck with whatever it's going to be
I would probably make it into some kind of tower, with either a signaling laser, or anti- capital ship weapon of some kind, capable of destroying enemy ships in orbit from the ground, Similarly to the High altitude GN Beam cannon used by Gundam Dynames in Gundam 00.
