One of my favorite characters from the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, I present to you Marvin the Robot!
About this creation
From the side, you can see the stoop I worked into his design, which belies his depressing attitude towards, well, just about everything.
Marvin with his arms up. He has 10 points of articulation, 5 with 360 degrees of movement, 4 with 180 degrees of movement, and 1 with 90 degrees of movement.
Marvin's pieces spread out. As you can see, he doesn't have a lot of fancy parts, which is a good thing for a limited-resource MOCer such as myself.
"Oh, what an infernally horrid life I lead. Here I am, brain the size of a planet, and they want me to solve bloody puzzles..."
I made Marvin in less than an hour after I saw the potential the handle-bar pieces could provide to a robot. I'm very pleased with how he came out, considering I don't make robots very often. I can see alot of potential in him as a war robot or mech unit. But that's for another day...
"The first ten million years were the worst, and the second ten million years, they were the worst too. The third million years I didn't enjoy at all. After that I went into a bit of decline." -Marvin
