FANTASY WW2: German paradox troopers
mid way through ww2 germany began developing top secret weaponry code named "project reality" two months later, paradox technology was born: the paradox portal. A paradox is a seemingly true statement or group of statements that lead to a contradiction or a situation which seems to defy logic or intuition. basically: travel through a portal, to meet yourself at the exact same time and date, thus, creating a paradox and and extra soldier. so with paradox technology, the germans could double the amount of soldiers in their military. but using the portal had side-effects, and the germans couldn't risk all of their military using the paradox portal. 2 weeks later, the paradox troopers where created. and elite unit of troops, a basic squad of 3 soldiers could double to 6 soldiers using the paradox portal. the two downsides to using the paradox portal where, soldiers could only stay in a paradox state for a max of 5 hours, if they stayed in the paradox for more than 5 hours, they would risk fracturing time and space, killing all of them. the other downside was if a paradox double of one soldier was shot and killed, the real soldier would die too, and vice a versa. paradox portals where used for several months during ww2, but the project was shut down and put into storage due to the shear danger of creating a paradox.
About this creation

here is a view of the time vortex projector that creates the paradox.

here you see the paradox portal. ones activated, the users can see themselves at exactly the same time and date, the soldiers can step through the portal to join themselves, at exactly the same time and date, thus doubling their man power. after 5 hours, the soldiers must return back through the paradox portal, leaving their paradox doubles behind.

all soldiers needed to do to meet up with their paradox doubles, was step through the portal. simple, yet dangerous.

in the several months they where used during ww2, paradox portals where taken and set up at or near the battlefield, to give the soldiers time to return back to the portal before the 5 hours runs out.

now onto the paradox soldiers (mini-figs) themselves. the paradox soldiers where equipped with special "portal suits" that would allow them too survive the journey through the highly radioactive and dangerous portals. they where also equipped with standard german weaponry, and state of the art heavy duty armour. the commanding officer is also equipped with a hunting knife and a special night vision gas mask.

NON FICTIONAL DESCRIPTION: these mini-figs are all equipped with: a brickarms stahlhelm helmet, german brickarms ww2 guns, brickforge pauldrones, brickforge vambraces, a custom lego back pack and lego waist armour. the commanding officer is also equipped with a brickforge gun belt, brickarms hunting knife and a custom made german night vision gas mask i made myself.

action shot of the paradox troopers. but of coarse, after they step through the portal, their would be four of them here, not two.

side view.

back view.

commanding officer with custom stahlhelm/gas mask helmet.

here is a vary cool good quality shot of the squad (mini-figs) before they step through the portal.

here is the portal activated, as the troops step through to join their paradox doubles. (aka some cool work i did on the pic in photo-shop)

hope you enjoyed this moc, more fantasy ww2 and other mocs to come!
