Alternate 6208 idea#1 V-Wing
About this creation
Ah, set 6208 has arrived to banish the 'Dark Ages'...

Behold my first official MOC! This is an alternative that only requires parts from the B-wing set 6208. It's rather cute huh? I did start out with a larger and more realistically proportioned version but ran out of parts 1/2 way through.

Thanks for checking it out! Let me know what you think

Overall shot with Rebel pilot (apoligies purists!) Have you noticed there's 2 slightly different styles of V-Wings? The one mine is based on is a slender style with pointed nose and thin "wings". The other type has a flatter, wider body (like an A-Wing) and short stubby wings. Hmmmm, maybe it's just me...

You can see I simplified alot of the detail.

Rear shot with cute engines. It's resting on a landing platform that is the remains of the B-Wing engine intake.

Canopy open. Clearance between canopy and aft sheilds is quite close ;)

Hey, look who found some black material for a backdrop. A little droid has scooted over for a look-see.

I did actually forget to add that triangular shape to the wing pivot area, in case you're wondering. Oh well.

Very kooky. Like the long, elongated wing panels!

You have definately improved quite a bit! I came out of my dark age late last year. My first set coming back was a creator set that comes with the tub. Then a snowtrooper battle pack. I have not stopped buying sets since and have already re-built a nice little collection being that I gave away all my old legos years ago. (Probably the worst mistake I have ever made!)I think I have more fun now as an adult building then when I was a kid.

Did you do it in the beginning of 2007 ? Because in this case you've improved in a incredible way... I don't say it's bad (cool variation !) but now you're a Lego genius !

Coolness! The droid in the pics towards the end is exceptional. My first MOC was my Republic Scout Speeder, which fits the whole "first MOC" thing a lot better than yours! I remember using a jar of peanut butter as the vehicle's stand xD

The top fins look out of proportion, but if you wanted to go all ninja-mod on it, take the nose off an take it to the next step: TIE fighter concept. 1:What is Large

The B-Wing set is one of the best LEGO sets ever... even though I don't have it... But I've seen some great MOCs from the B-Wing.

Hi there! I like it - one of the best things that can be built from 6208! As reply to your post on my site: "das ist sehr gut!" Krystian
