This train tours through the garden of Karlsruhe's palace from April to October/November. The original train has a 600mm gauge. I used roughly "miniland" scale (1:20) to build this model. It can be run on any layout with standard LEGO tracks - you only have to take of the yellow ground throws.
I have seen the idea to use the child heads with the "maxifig" torso first on the "Legofanwelt" in Köln. Frank Deuter used this at his "Sankt Franky Dome". "Gleisbauer" provided a drawing of the original Henschel loco with the western-style additions.
it s funny how the tracks seems to fit like a glove, a comparison pic is nice, you are dead on, also, on the pic, the train seems to travel on the ground, we don t see the tracks, lol, although not my fav train type, it s refreshing to see maxifigs in one.
I like it

Wonderful ! A fabulous steam engine !>>...well done
I can't believe I've missed this! It's wonderful, looks just like the real thing and I love those maxis they give it so much life. That light brick was a clever idea, it looks like a furnace :). Can't wait to see more creations from you they are as Nick said "Delightful" :)
