Type 48 - Revenant
Finally, I may proudly present to you: The Type 48 Assault gun carriage, better known as Revenant, from Halo Reach.
In search for an appropriate counterpart to my Warthog I choose this one from the small group of volunteers. I don't like the Prowler for aesthetic reason (it is quite useful in-game, but the Chopper looks way cooler). The design of the Spectre is absolutely "covenant" with lots of curves, which I thought would be hard to realise (but I still have that in mind, don't worry ...). Well, I still suffered some deep psychological trauma from THIS very special project.
The design of the Revenant uses less curves (or at least less pronounced ones) and partially flat armor plates, but if you have a closer look to the outer surface, you will recognise some interesting tilts and twists. Many nights were spent with wracking my brain about this and that. I began with the cannon and it turned out as it is now. Maybe it should be mentioned, that 99% of the designing were done with the LDD (there is a significant lack of unused bricks within these walls). Doing all the work on the screen is only terrible. From my experience I can tell, that it is essential to play with the bricks from time to time ( but whom I'm telling this ).
When my PC broke down six weeks ago my "Yeah-lets-build-a-Revenant"-mood went with it. I spent a lot of time with my girl-friend (the love goes always first) and when the new term begans I dare to look at that monster again. At last, I stuffed all those "ideas" in a sac and drowned them in the Gera (the river that flows through Erfurt). Then I took the idea I had in mind first (months ago) et voilą :
About this creation

That bitch of LDD ... okay, I have to admit, I was a bit to much in love with my own genuis.
The LDD allows the rims to cross each other. Nasty ...

I stared more than one hole in my TV-screen, while I tried to make out the non-existing interior through openings in the outer surfaces.

"Press X to flip me."

The light plasma mortar was a project within the project. My first design turned out ... well, I can't remember ... but I didn't like it and only in very, very rare case you will find that I put something on-line I'm not 100% satisfied with (and if I do, then these cases are going to be corrected soon).
Let's say this one is more or less foldable ( he parts are really fresh and it broke apart due to the high friction of the joints).

That's the first time I chopped a minifigures hands of (more precisely a torsos hands, but hey ...) and I still have a bad conscience about it.

Yeah, I mentioned that before. The engine brought its very own problematics with it.
I hope the spectators like it.

Time for a "Road Rage"!!! No, "Sunday Driver" ... "Road Rage" - "Sunday Driver" ...

Do you like it? Tell me how you think about my stuff!

Very, VERY good!!! However, I feel like the mortar, though excellently detailed, is a bit large and... fork-like? (Sorry, I know how tough it is to make things large, detailed, AND game-accurate with only Legos)

Excellent! You have certainly spent a lot of time working on the details of this build. That cannon is brilliant, and so are your ideas for the cockpit. The overall look is really cool too. I have a massive build due to be finished in a couple of weeks and it will have no where near the amount of relevant detail you have managed to squeeze in to this. Well done :-)

Quoting Radec Mai It could have more fluid curves but its certainly better than anything i could do!
Yes, I know, but covenant curves are quite difficult with most of the bricks having a cuboid shape.

WOW! Thea shape is perfect, and so is the size. The detail put into it is AMAZING! This is probably the best revenant on mocpages!

You captured the shape well, but it seems too big. I think a Revenant will be my next project.

The part at the back looks a little big but other than that this is amazing.

This isn't too bad. I really like the greebles on the sides. And I know just how you feel about the minifigure hands, I was feeling very much the same way after I did it for the first time. But you get used to it pretty quickly, and now I use them constantly. Actually, I'm having a hard time NOT using minifig hands in my creations. Thanks for the comments on Play With Fire and The Staircase, really appreciate it. Keep up the good work.
