"A Metal Legion outpost is under attack! An army of enemy robot drones are closing in on the outnumbered Metal Legion forces." I've had this MOC sitting around my room for awhile, so I finally decided to put it online. Enjoy!
Another shot of the base.
A Metal Legion soldier about to take out a bot.
Another soldier on the roof of the outpost.
Even though it's blurry, I thought this was a cool shot of the attacking bots from the soldiers perspective.
(This picture is the one that is being entered in the forced perspective contest in the epic lego group).
Inside the base a commander prepares to rush out side and blast some bots.
Another shot of the commander.
Outside the base.
The advancing robot army.
The base without the figs.
An "overhead" like shot.
The closed door.
The open door (it runs on a track in the wall).
The back empty.
The Metal Legion soldiers. I will include these men in other Metal Legion MOCs.
As always, please rate and comment.
I totally agree with both you guys!
1: I know that there are hundreds of scenes like this, I just was bored and came up with this.
2: The only reason I entered it in the forced perspective contest was because several people said I should. This MOC is not at all what I would do for a forced perspective contest, let alone any contest!
But thanks for the critiques anyway!
BTW would you guys mind checking out the Meta Legion contest? There is a link to it on my home page.
Originality: 3. Using interesting building techniques: 3. Build quality 2. Total 8. This is a great MOC overall but I have seen plenty of dioramas with a battle going on around a base. I gave you a two for Build quality because this dio does not really use force perspective. In order to be considered forced perspective it usually must be in a different scale. Overall great job on this diorama.
I also like the "Leaping Death Bot" picture. Quite dramatic. I think I know why the commander is the oldest guy in the dio. Because he waits until the action is over before he runs outside! Hey man, forget about the forced perspective contest. You should go ahead and post this on the Metal Legion Contest http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/16526
Sometimes, early in a contest, it helps to enter a MOC of your own (not to actually compete). Just to get the ball rolling. I think your contests need a little push. People will see your entry, and think: Huh, he entered, so can I! Sometimes, nobody wants to be that first guy. Attack!
I like it

Nice work Aidan nice great base. After I saw that picture of the robot in the air (the blurry one) I thought maybe you could join it into the forced perspective contest?
