Beta Three is the second generation of robots capable of AHE or Artificial Human Emotion. The Alpha Two was the first to use it but the hardware was flawed. As AHE evolved into a more advanced pieces of software, the robot needed to be upgraded to be able to run it. This new robot has a head that has artificial muscles integrated into it for more complex emotions. If the muscles dry out they become very brittle and must be replaced. To keep the muscles wet, the entire head is surrounded by a jar-like helmet filled with a special chemical solution. The body of the robot has also been upgraded to be lighter and easier to repair.
About this creation
This is yet another theme that I haven't touched in a long time. It's great to get back into Bionicle mocs. During the last month I've also taken the time to go though and count every piece in my lego collection. It took me four days to count them all and I came to a grand total of..... 38,055 PIECES! Of coarse, with a little brother running around I'm sure that I miscounted a few pieces somewhere... Anyway, That satisfied my curiosity and I'm sure most of the people that asked "HOW MANY PIECES DO YOU HAVE?!" are also happy now.
Amazing. The part use is simply astounding, and the style is something I haven't seen in ages. Reminds me of the truly ANCIENT technic sets that were around before I was even born. It looks just like some sort of university/company prototype too, in those colours.
A faster way to count how many pieces you have is to go to http://www.brickset.com/ and enter in all your sets - it tells you how many pieces and minifigs you have, and how much it all cost. But I suppose you might have got quite a few of your pieces on Bricklink so this may not work.
