A diorama from last winter. Maybe March, but yeah, recent. This was the testing ground for many new techniques (New to me at least), like inverted bricks (the pirate ship) a splash technique, etc. I'll go into detail in the actual M.O.C.
About this creation
Doesn't look like that hard of a shot. Here I tried making the pirate ship miniscale to make it look further away. I'm pretty satisfied with the result.
The cannon from a safer distance. You can see the cannonball splintering wood in the lower left corner.
The area between the quarrelling ships. You can see a couple of the worse shots splashing harmlessly in the ocean.
This is one of my favorite shots in this creation. It would be the view you would get if you were standing on the deck of the pirate ship. Pretty intimidating, eh?
Individual shots. Here's the pirate ship.
The front. I started with a couple Vulture Droid wings and I thought together they would make a great ship.
As you can see, the whole thing is upside down. It's attached to the baseplate with a 2x2 round cylinder (the one with a + hole thing down the center), a short Technic axel, and another round cylinder.
A better view of the cannonball through the wall.
The cannon itself.
