Ho-Oh, #250
The original rainbow bird and guardian of the skies, from Pokemon Gold. Though Rayquaza might have something to say about that...
About this creation

Starting with the beak:

Unlike Rayquaza, the toungue is capable of moving. It looks somewhat weird, but there really wasn't any reason to make it not be able to move.

Also, both halves can move. The top half is somewhat bigger than the bottom.

The connection looks kind of odd when the beak is closed. I attached the beaks by a simple clip on.

The way I did the eyes was incredibly basic, but it came out extremely well

The golden... thing... on its head. Also done quite simple

The connection between the head and neck. Uses a basic... whatever it's called

And here is the exact same connection as before... but between the neck and body.

A close up on how I did the wings. In real life, they would unfold in an instant. But this is not real life. It is LDD. Since I am limited to LDD's drawbacks, I minus well take advantage of the fact that there is no gravity... Sadly, the wings cannot move, or "flap". That is one of the things I would change, If I were not too lazy.

Ho-Oh's left foot

Ho-Oh's legs can move

A view of the leg to body connection, with bricks hidden for viewability

The tail

How I did the tail:

Two more poses:

And lastly, a shiny version

Well, parts of this came out really well. Others... didn't. The parts that came out good are the wings, head, feet, and tail. Sadly, the body and neck are extremely blocky, which does hinder the moc a little. However, being a little blocky does not completely ruin a moc, unlike what many people tend to believe. The truth is, that I tried many bodies. It turned out to be the hardest part of the whole moc.

Another thing that I would change, are the wings. I would make them "flap"-able, and try to find a way to fix another major problem. And that is, that when unfolded, they look like this:

But overall, I think that this MOC came out very good. Lastly, here are some stats:

PRICE (estimated, the moc includes unbuyable parts): $238.92
PARTS: 730
SCALE: Macroscale (Too big to be to scale with Rayquaza)

this is honestly, the best Ho-Oh I've ever seen. Even if it is on LDD. This is amazing.

Quoting Cody G Nice work! It would be pretty neat to see Ho-oh and Rayquaza battle. They are pretty close stats-wise.
Well, Rayquaza would probably win. It has better speed, and though Ho-Oh has massive Special Defense, it has somewhat lacking Defense, and weaknesses to many types. I actually was going to have Rayquaza and Ho-Oh battle, but Ho-Oh turned out to be too big to be to scale.
