Golf Cart alternate made from set 5867 - Super Speedster
About this creation
Set 5867 has proved itself to be a versatile set with quite a few builders making several alternate models each. This golf cart is the third alternate that I have made from the pieces in this set. Building alternates from single sets is, of course, just one way to play with LEGO®. What this type of building does show is that, with creativity and patience, you don't need a large collection to have a lot of fun. This model was a quick build, and there are no spectacular building techniques involved in its construction. The model is, however, sturdy and strong.
The side view shows the thin nature of the floorboard. The floorboard is the foundation of the model.
Rear corner view. Many golf carts have a golf bag storage area or extra seating in the back.
The strong foundation shown in the underside view.
The view shows some of the interior details including the steering column, accelerator and instruments.
How nice to see another alternate from you, Dave! Was this the idea that you had in mind earlier? Looks pretty cool. I like your unusual ideas. Is it really that strong and solid though, because I'm not sure with that roof... Anyway, glad to see you back here!:D
