Hummer H1
About this creation
Hey there. Here's a small Lego Hummer (H1) I built yesterday for the heck of it. It's 6 studs wide, to match my cars that are normally 4-studs wide.

The model was inspired by a model by Karl-Heinz Vogt

The Hummer tames the mighty Mt. Sponge deep in the plains of Formica.

In my opinion, the grille is what makes the model. Real Hummers have the same vertical-oriented grille holes. This is actually an old tile that was common in the 1980s in white and yellow.. it's one of the only ones I have!

A view from above. You can see the 1/4-stud-offset door handles, and the black vent on the hood.

Awesome! All you need now is a picture of eco-vandals hitting it with baseball bats.

I really like it. I also think that the grille is what makes the model. The white off-road tires and the handles are very nice, although I adored the pictures where it's conquering Mt. Sponge :) Will you look at my stuff? I don't make video game junk, just real production cars. It would be very nice if you'd comment and tell me what you think. I also think that "city-dwellers" own Hummers because they're flashy. People think they're cool in those things. (I recently looked in your website. You haven't been making you art since a very long time. Why not? Run out of pieces?)

First of all, CALM DOWN EVAN HORST! you dont need to yell. We're all on the page staring at your improper grammer and spelling because the type is too large. try turning off caps lock. Anyway, great hummer Sean! I simply love hummers. They're so big and...hummish. I saw a hummer that was pink one time. you should try that. ^_^

Wow, another great model. I can hardly wait to show this to my other lil bro, "Not Jonathan" Jeremy, cause he dreams night and day of getting a hummer someday. 5 smileys, can any of your work get less?

This model was so adorable, I sketched it from the photos at Brickshelf and gave building it a go that very evening. Mine is in black to match the only color I had for the windows in the back. It wouldn't be like me not to change anything, I used some inverse slopes along the sides to lower the door sill. The gray tiles as door handles are inspired.
