I recently finished playing StarWars: Knights of the Old Republic. I noticed that no one had built the game's resident Death Star ripoff, the Star Forge. I decided to rectify this.
Actually, everything about the Star Forge is pretty cool. Not only was it built by StarWars' ancient precursor race, and is thus tens of thousands of years old, it also has a really awesome establishing shot. Seriously, it has reshaped its star into a teardrop shape.
It's also a character in and of itself. A rather interesting one, in fact. It corrupts everyone and everything around it- not because it's evil, but because that's what it is programmed to do. More evil means more Dark Side energy, which maximizes its power levels, leading to increased production efficiency. I almost got the impression at the end that it wasn't just sustaining Malak and Bastila, but also Revan, as it was thriving on the conflict. This might also be a less insane explanation for why I was still able to fail to redeem Bastila on my playthrough, despite the fact that she seemed entirely sincere. The Star Forge did it.
I was really tempted to include the orbital stabilizer tower. I really liked the Star Forge's demise. It holds a touch of irony, crushed by the gravity of the star. Destroyed by the very forces it had stolen and manipulated for millenia.
Anyway, that concludes this MOC. Expect KotOR minifigs, sometime.
