With Hand of God and in-car steering. Everthing opens to reveal a detailed interior and engine bay. Front lights pop up too. Check out the door handles - I dont think this technique has been used before. De Tomaso Pantera and I came up with this new technique using the ice skates from the series 4 mini figures. I have taken inspiration from many builders - Nick Barrett, Fred Ottens, Henrick Hoexbroe, Patrick L and Hot Rod to name a few. My second entry for Dan The Man's 3rd Car Contest. Hope you like it :)

Hi I really like this Lego 69 Corvette I think it's really cool and I would like the instructions for it if you can can you just try to sum it up for the instructions I'll pay whatever to get the instructions and if you can the pieces please respond Hi Angela, Thank you for the compliment, I built this 5 years ago so could improve on the design now. It was never 'instructioned' and has been taken apart. But I work for Bright Bricks and if you contact us we will be able to provide a quote to redesgn. www.brightbricks.com go to the 'contact us' page and fill in the form. Mention my name Joe Perez.

@ Harry – Thanks :D, I can’t remember which hinges I used but I think it was a 2x1 plate with bar connected to the hood and the light itself uses a 1x1 plate with clip. Very simple but works perfectly. There is very little room under the hood due to the steering.

Very clever use of those ice skates. I might have to steal them from my wife's minifig, LOL. I just can't get over some of these very accurate scale models. Maybe one day I can produce something approaching this level of detail and accuracy, but for now my MOC's are firmly grounded in the realm of fantasy. Hi everyone. Thank you all so much for your kind comments and suggestions. This was a real challenge especially the nose. It took a week of evenings to build (a few hours a night). I used the cobra's chassis modified slightly. The steering and front lights caused all sorts of problems and i had to compromise looks to allow a good steering lock. I am really pleased with the result. For my next big project am going to try a transformer - wish me luck. :). Thanks again. |

Nice car. Clean lines. Too many studs for rmy taste. Especially the front angles and lines are excellent. |

Superb work, this is another one of my favorite Corvette body styles! I think the engine and headlights are especially impressive. 5/5 |

Thanks :). I have used some of my 8880 in this stingray. 8880 is one of Lego's finest models. Those were the days when they knew how to build real technical models. Thanks again |

NICE! I wanted to do a mid 60s Stingray one year after I got the 8880. The quantity of bricks and other components were ok, but I had a lack of imagination, so the 10 year old "me" couldn't build something like that at the time, haha. I think I must consider building on a Stingray, 'cause it's still one of my favorite cars. |

Why don't you post it, with your AC Cobra in the classic car contest? I think I saw you in the list... :D
I made this for Dan the Man's contest. But I will make another for the classic car contest. Oh yes! |

Excellent overall. It would look better if the front air intakes were made out of actuall chrome plates, not just tubes in my opinion. But people have different tastes. Thanks for your comment on my Maserati. |

I've always wanted one of these! The rear end and the seats are probably my favorite parts. Also, the black was a good choice - the white seats set nicely against it. Plus, my first '91 Camero was black! Nice work! |

Like it? I love it! Instantly recognisable. Your best car yet IMO. Love the front view and the rear, at the side the nose looks a little high but that'll be the steering interfering. Keep those mortal strikes coming :) |
