About this creation
I have put some arrows indicating where you can put some wire so you can lift it. This is the front hangingsystem, the other one is located in front of the bridge.
In the original design the V-stand had no horisontal connection, but the pressure towards outside was so high that it was pulling the ship apart. Even now there is a small gap of some 2mm but this is more due to the inside connection parts.
Compared to the original design I have added some radar"globes" and some more details . Once the basic structure of the city is in place it's easy to add. Otherwise you might encounter serious problems with parts falling of, because the pieces have all been put very very close.
This is a detail of the city center. Up front the hanging device, connected to the backbone structure of the ship. you can put some metal wire and just lift the ship without affecting the other parts. (nothing has been glued)

There's a hanging device in front and one in the middle, so there is a absolute ballance.
Its also possible to put the ship on a stand. The concept of the stand is that it absorbs al movements from the ship. The stand will almost take the V-shape of the bottom of the ship. I prefered this kind of stand to the elephant feet that Lego has come up with in the upcomming set. Also the fact the ship is in v shape makes it rather difficult to put a flat support underneath. Lego has conquered...this problem by making the bottom of ship as flat as a plate....
Using the V-stand gives you the impression that the ship is floating. And if you ask me if it is stable, I'll answer yes absolutely. The inside of the ship has been reinforced to coop with the pressure caused by the stand.
The engines have been integrated in the body shape of the ship. Adding some realism to the center parts.
