Poor Doctor Ford... We all knew it was him. Because of his safari hat! The guy was never moving without his hat. Sure he was weird, but a great archeologist.
About this creation

That is what we first saw when we sea-landed near the tiny rocks.
We had spotted him -at last- after three weeks of exhausting searches. His boat had sunk two years ago. We only knew he had the treasure when he left St Utin's Island. He was heading for UK but Neptune had chosen for him other destiny...

We came real close to the dark rocks. The Seagull gliding with its residual speed.

We hurried to shoot with our camera as soon as we could. Evidences of our discovery were essential. Jim made a good job: he was so good shooting at everything (even if he'd prefer .30 machine guns!)

Seamus was keeping watching over the sky: Our quest had brought greedy guys "out of laws" and "trigger-happy"!

Fortunately, we could rely on the 500hp engines of my old Seagull to make an emergency take-off. They had saved us more than a time!

Views of the aircraft. Initially, I planned to make a classic plane with landing-gears. But my girlfriend (who still has brilliant ideas) proposed me to build a seaplane. So be it!! lol
I was inspired by an old WWI Russian plane for the position of the propellers. I loved the design of this mid-size bird.

Those pics were taken a few months later with tiny up-grades and new back-ground to improve contrasts.

An overall pic with my planes'collection from 1999 to 2011... I love each one of them!
Of course, the 4 mono-engines come directly from LEGO'sets. All have been upgraded.

In 2012, there are two more...

That's all, folks!
