My collection of minifig-scale classic cars just grew again!
About this creation
Can you spot the new ones, already from the title-photo? ;-)
There are no less than 4 new ones this time!
First off, a modified 2CV, the "fourgonnette";

Very little left of the original .eti-design...
Not much new to see from the outside, but this one actually has a new chassis-and-wheel design...

Second off, and somewhat late for the DS-Mania. Finally it is here, the one and only (ta-daa!); Citroën 20 DS Cabriolet;

No, Vibor, I couldnt move the rear-wheels further back, but I moved the rear-window further forward, which more or less gives the same visual effect.

-only sad it didnt make it to the "Mania"... (But now it is here, better late than never!)

The "american car". Somewhat inspired by the 1967 Chevy Belair, although not a high precision model. This is a slightly simplified rebuild of the red car from "One BIG moc", and credit for the tail must of course again go to Misterzumbi and many others (sorry for not being able to mention everybody)

This cars most important job is to CONTRAST the strictly western european collection I am making, by looking as "american" as possible.

You should of course recognize this car from the Hotel Chat Noir moc...

Lastly, a Scania-Vabis bus;

The bus might seem a little on the small side; its a 6-wide model. I made it 6-wide because I wanted it to be compatible with 7-wide trains, but seeing it all together I may have to make the bus 7-wide, and which would mean trains in 8-wide. But... an 8-wide train is just too... HUGE!

The bus is not build to any specific model, but rather incorporate details common around 1965 models. (If you Google these busses, you will find literary THOUSANDS -but not two equals! ;-)

So, that was all for this time. Still a few vehicles left to build, so I will be back!

They look great. I like the fourgonette and the H of the Citroën's en the bus.
Would like to build them my self but can't find the instructions any where.
Does anybody know where i can find the instructions?
The Fourgonette I like to do in yellow.
Thanks Rick |

very nice collection henrik! all lovely models full of charm! the scale problem is nt too obvious, but, 7' would be perfect, 8' trains seems unavoidable for a perfect scale set up, i m working on it too, just not too rushed to get at it! lol! |

Yes, that's my bad. Dyane is the later version, the last too. I know it's 2CV, I just misplaced these two somehow. We call it the ugly duckling in Croatia or "Spatchek" :)) |

Great cars, all of them! But still the bus is best of them all;-) The black American is a mix of a BelAir and an Impala I think, anyway it looks good as it is..... |

What a nice collection of cars. I am as always impressed with your ability to build small and to the point mocs. But... can´t wait to see the diorama. |

As for the Dyane...Those headlights worry me. Grey cheese slopes? Couldn't you just put modified plate with a round trans plate?
Thanks for your thorough comment! I think I know what you mean about the Dyane, but this one is not a Dyane, (which indeed had integrated headlights) but an earlier model, namely the modified 2CV, also called "Fourgonette"! |

Wow, you're back. Nice to see all these beautiful models there. As for the DS convertible. Oh, mama. It looks like a candy! Very sweet that is. You say you couldn't push the wheels to the back. But I thought you did! It looks as though you did! It's beautiful! As for the Dyane, I know that version of it and it is like the original! Stunning how you managed to get it in such a small scale. Those headlights worry me. Grey cheese slopes? Couldn't you just put modified plate with a round trans plate? I know it's old school building but it'd be closer to the original. That american style car with all it's details is just perfect! The only thing that kind of sticks out is that windshield. trans bricks? I don't like that bit but that's just me. Nevertheless I give you the highest grade! |

You can never have too many classic cars (just like Lego..) and these are great, with steering wheels and everything ;-) Although the bus does need to be 7-wide it is lovely. |

Very well built, almost not recognizable as Lego! I bet you could hide them in a "real" train set and no one would notice. |
|
Well done Henrik, expecially with the modified 2CV. I also love the bus and I was already thinking about how fine it would stand between my other loved trains, when I realized the scale problem. Well, will be for the next time. |
