"In death, there is beauty". I've heard this quote a lot, and I can understand it as a naturalist. This tree was burned, and the life around it is returning. The requirements were that the tree had to be deciduous and built on an 8x8 base, with overhang allowed. Enjoy! See you guys in Round 2!
I definitely like it. Agreed with the others. More and more branching branches (wow, that sounds amazing intelligent, doesn't it? ;-) would have been better, but, cool!
lol @Dan...I thought you said "and I really hope to never see you again". I was like 'woah, ouch.' lol
Judges comment: I agree with Dan Church, that it really was outside the box creating a dead tree. Accuracy: although it is obviously a tree, I think you could have either added more branches, or made the branches that are there a bit more realistic looking. 17 points here. Techniques: Although pretty well executed, it looks like any other lego tree besides the branches.15 points. Originality: the idea of making a dead tree was very clever, and, although it could have been better executed, was very original. 45 points here. That's a total of 77 points. Thanks SO much for even entering, and I really hope to see you in round two!
Judge's Comments: Really like how you went out of the box and attempted a dead tree, but the I think the branches should look a little more organic. Score Breakdown: Accuracy: 15/25 Complexity: 15/25 Originality: 35/50. Great work and thanks again for participating! 65/100
