Ok, so my brother's been playing Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patroits lately and apart from reminding me how much I loved playing the first MGS, I was impressed with the storyline and design of the game, so I found myself inspired to build a futuristic, biomechanical tank. I'm not usually too confident doing Japanese/Cyberpunk builds, something about the style eludes me, but this one turned out ok. I'd still like to change a few areas; the feet for one I would've preferred to use the whole minifig arm instaed of just the hands and it neads a little more colour somewhere, maybe tan or something.
Here is a picture of the biomechanical GEKKO units from MGS4 and, if you can be bothered, is some video from the game (yes, they "moo" like cows, how awesome is that?!)
I tried using upside down grass as the feet but it didn't look any good.
Design sketches. Some of these are about a year old, originally this was going to be a Zorg tank.
Wow, this is a great build! I really like the weapon on top, very sleek looking!
You really have a way with legos, my friend.
Im' rather new here on the site and have only added a few mocs... would you mind maybe checking them out and letting me know what you think?
I must say that there's something about your work that fascinates me, especially this piece. Just love those lines that you've managed to capture. Guess your background in Fine Arts and Product Design serves you well. Looking forward to more great builds. Cheers!
Wow this is awesome man, the 'feet' are great but I'm loving the super narrow turret profile!
I like it

I have never seen anything like it. It is really captivating! The little "Feets" and that super sleek turret. Wow. Thank you for the WIP shorts as well. Those shots really provides some "as a glace" answers to questions about that incredible shape! Well done. Attack!
Oh wow, that is a very interesting piece! I love the smooth overall shape of the beast. I've never played Metal Gear (taboo, I know), but it seems my procrastination may pay off later this year with the HD collection release.
