This is a 1:72 scale replica of the North American XB-70 Valkyrie Mach 3 bomber.
About this creation
The XB-70 was designed as a triple sonic bomber for the purpose of high level overflight and strategic bombing of the Soviet Union. Only two experimental examples were made. This MOC carries the usual features of drooping wingtips and six massive General Electric J-93 afterburning turbojet engines. I have added the bomb bays in and placed two Mk-43s and a single Mk-53 thermonuclear bomb in them.
Excellent model. In drooped-wing configuration, it looks a lot like certain space ships I've seen on Star Trek. Perhaps North American recouped some of their R&D costs by selling the plans to Gene Roddenbury.

Your Valkyrie is easily recognizable at a glance. It is a challenging shape and you do an excellent job of capturing it. The weapons bay is also an excellent detail. Attack!
An excellent and very accurate build. I am building one at the moment but having trouble deciding on the size. I donít have those oldschool wings (with the corner missing) which are the perfect angle for this.
