Please note: Acceptence speeches written by the actual winners unless otherwise stated.
Chris: “Good evening ladies and gentleman and welcome to Big Al’s Putt Putt and BowlOrama for the 2011 MOCie Awards! I’m your host, Chris Phipson. Is everyone ready to have a good time tonight?”
Heath: Way to cheap out on the venue Chris! This place is more 70s than your mom’s bikini line!
Chris:” One more heckle outta you Heath and the Nacho Midget goes home! Let’s get right on to the awards then shall we?”
And the winner is, Arcturus by Jon Walker! John couldn’t be with us tonight but sent me an email. Expletives deleted, it eventually gets to a “thank you to the MOCpages public” at some point… I don’t know, I couldn’t bother reading the whole thing… Moving on.”
Louis K. “Wow, thanks to everyone who has voted for my creation! I really wouldn't have expected to win, let alone being nominated in this category. I mean, how many "humorous" MOCs have I built? One? But I must say, it's one of my favorites as well. This is a big honor, no it's AWESOME!”
Chris: “And the winner is, One Big MOC! -byHenrik Hoexbro! Herik was also unable to join us tonight. His email said something about a court order and having to stay 500 yards away from “certain people.” I decided it better not to pry. Congrats Herik and moving on.”
El Barto: “I'd like to congratulate the other nominees in this category for their outstanding work! Many thanks to those who voted, and took the time to read my series! I probably wouldn't have even started it without the encouragement from all my wing-men here on MOCPages- Thanks, Dudes! Thanks to my wife and son for helping me out, and putting up with me during the creative process. Lastly, big thanks to Chris and the Judges for organizing and producing this yearly event! So Say We All ! (hushed voice) Okay, where's the beer, Chief?”
Chris: ”Behind the midget Barto. It’s always behind the midget.”
Chris: “And the winner is… Barad-Dur by Kevin Walter!”
(Not written by Kevin Walter.)
Kevin: “This is (bleep)ing bull(bleep)! Oh wait… I won? Oh, well then, thank you so much to MOCpages, Heath Flor and James Jameson! Couldn’t have gotten it done without you guys!”
(Not written by Dave)
Dave Kaleta: “I am Batman.”
Chris: “In…tresting… And with that we come to the half time show of this year’s MOCies. Back by popular demand… and because we didn’t think ahead and signed a two year contract with him… ladies and gentlemen, the comedy stylings of Stuart Delahay!”
(Stand up routine written by Stu. Please direct all hate mail to him. Thank you)
I’d like to thank you for the round of applause but being minifigs, none of you can clap. Or pray for this to end quickly.
If you want to give a standing ovation, good luck, none of the seats are SNOT so you’re all stuck down.
With studs in your bottom.
My friend has a new job. He’s become a mime. I haven’t heard from him recently.
I’m not a very competitive person. I go to graveyards for a sense of one-upmanship. I think everybody knows someone who says “I’m sorry but I’m really competitive”. To which I say “That’s because you’re an idiot. But if it makes you feel better, you are the biggest idiot I know”.
I’m thrilled to be back here again this year. Chris asked me if I could do the show but this time actually try to be funny. I said “What do you mean this time?”
I jumped on the plane and Chris came to pick me up at the airport. He was really angry because my flight was late. He said “You should have been here at 8.30!” I said “Why, what happened at 8.30?”
Seriously, I love being English abroad. People always say “Oh we love your accent” I notice they don’t say anything about my teeth though.
I’ve loved coming here. You live in a society where a pizza arrives at your house before the police do. Some people say you need greater gun control. It’s not true – you need greater idiot control.
I went to my hotel. I sat down in the restaurant and the menu said “We serve breakfast at any time” So I ordered bacon and eggs during the 16th Century.
I met a lot of TFOLs before the show. One said to me “I’ve been building Lego since I was three!” I said “really? You must be tired”
Another TFOL asked me to tell a TFOL joke. I said “Flare being nominated for funniest MOC”
Seriously I love TFOLs. They are like slinkies. Not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumbling down the stairs.
Comments like that sometimes get me in fights. I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."
They say you shouldn’t hit a man with glasses. It’s true. You get far better results with a baseball bat.
Some people say "If you can't beat them, join them". I say "If you can't beat them, beat them", because they will be expecting you to join them, so you will have the element of surprise.
I don’t really like modern technology. They say TV insults your intelligence. It’s true, but nothing can rub it in like a computer.
A computer once beat me in a game of chess. That’s cool. I thrashed it at kick-boxing.
I found a phone app called ‘Rate my MOC’ which texts you comments. I tried it and it sent me one which said “LMAO!” Didn’t know what to make of that because the MOC was a mosaic of a dead whale.
Thanks for your time. You’ve been a wonderful audience. Well, you’ve definitely been an audience.
I’d like to leave you with a few thoughts.
Remember, crowded elevators smell differently to Master Shifu.
Whoever came up with the phrase ‘Quiet as a mouse’ obviously never trod on one.
And do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Chris: “Thank you Stu! Security will meet you backstage with your payment and will “help” you out to your vehicle. Our next award is for the Miscellaneous category. Those mocs that just don’t quite fit in with other categories. And the nominees are Titan Submarine by Jay Rhum, Drink Me by Legohaulic, Bull Run by Blake Baer, One Big MOC by Henrik Hoexbroe and Leda and the Swan by Tom Simon. “
Since I've subscribed at the end of year 2010, I was happy and surprised to see the submarine I've made with so much love on LDD was nominated for an award!
Watching at what people were capable of, in Lego, I wanted to make my own big one! To see what I could do.
This thing is for me the symbol of the end of my dark age! I just love it, knowing its mistakes...
Thanks to all of you!, for being a great community of so nice and welcoming people!
Thanks for your suggestions, questions and kind words!
I want to thank nice guys like Cyberfrank, with his collaborative build concept, obviously, Mark Kelso,Dave Catala, Christophe Corthay, Deus Otiosus, Sebeus, Nate Flood, Zak... I know I forget a lot!
MOCPAGES stores our most crazy dreams,
I want to thanks its creators for that...”
Chris: “And the MOCie goes to… Tom Simon!
Tom Simon: “I'd like to start by apologizing for the rest of this speech. Some of
my MOC write ups may suggest fairly coarse humor, but that mostly just
masks the romantic softie I really am (don't worry, I'm not going to
pull a Sally Field and cry). It goes without saying that I am honored
to receive consideration from this community. What is on my mind is that
I feel particularly privileged to have been a Lego fan for some 40 years
(though I've only discovered the pages recently) and to have experienced
nothing but encouragement and reward from the hobby during all that time.
It was a bit stunning to me, after joining the pages, to discover that
quite a few members have experienced, at some point in their Lego life,
something that makes them feel at least a little stigmatized to be a Lego
fan, particularly as they get older. My two cents is that I have not
found in any medium or field of endeavour a level of skill, imagination,
artistry, humor, or passion that is not also displayed here and in the Lego
community at large. If it gives you pleasure, this hobby is as worthy of
your time and effort as any other activity. Enjoy, and thank you.”
(First sentence not written by Tyler. The rest is his)
Tyler: “I didn’t slip because my legs are so long that I just stepped up to the box. "Good morning Vietnam!" First off, I would like to thank Mr. Chris Phipson for allowing his daughter to build this set and for making this all possible. I would also like to thank him for moderating MOCpages and making this all possible. Now that all of the buttsucking is out of the way, I would really like to say thank you to those that nominated and "hah" to those who I beat for this honorable title. Muhuahuahuahua! I would lastly like to thank the MOC pages group for having faith in me and allowing me to participate in their build at Brickworld. I look forward to another year on the 'pages, and hopefully many more after that.”
Chris: “And the AFOL of the year is… Well it’s about dang time! Mark Kelso!
"Okay, so I've tried addressing you morons before and got dragged off stage, so this time I'm playing it safe and using some famous people to help with my acceptance speech."...
"Eh-hem...Four score and seven years ago our fathers walked softly and carried a big stick. But now I have a dream, so give me liberty or give me death!"
... "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall! …So you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus!!"
"That's why I say ask not what your country can do for you, but...hey, what the?!!
No! No! Not again!! Hey, #*%$!, I'm not finished!!! ... "LET THEM EAT CAKE!!!"
Chris: “And that’ll do it for this year’s MOCie awards! Big thanks to Big Al for allowing us to hold our event here and thank you to all the winners, nominees and voters of the 2011 MOCie Awards! We’ll see you all next year!”
Fourth Wall Commentary: When I first started the MOCies back in 2008 I had no idea that it would become such a hit! Thank you all for participating and making it the “Oscars” of MOCpages for the fourth year running! And a special thank you to Steef de Prouw and Mark Kelso for helping out behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly! See you all again next year!
Till next time true believers!
Congratulations on MOTD! This is your 2nd for the same MOC? Congratulations X 2 then! LOL My only MOTD so far was the birthday cake my daughter and granddaughter made for my 65th birthday that had Legos on it.
Just finished re-reading all these, hilarious stuff! I literally laughed out loud at some of Stuart's jokes, and your commentary got a good grin. The MOC design is excellent, especially all the SNOT. Was there no after-party this time? If not, pity. Great work, and I can't wait for this year's show!
Always a highlight of the year, hillarious stuff (slipping over on the bowling lane made me laugh every time!). One complaint though- there is a MASSIVE community of large scale vehicle builders on MOCpages, which always gets skipped, I assume because no MOCpages mods are part of it. Any chance there could be a category for it next year? I'm pretty sure it gets more uploads than Castle and micro combined (I know Bionicle does too but our creations are actually worth looking at- hah!). Anyway, awesome sauce again and thanks to all the mods for a great year : ) 5/5
Hah, i remember back in 2008 when you started this. You probably forgot me but i still remember you and something about being a cop? Nonetheless, keep this tradition rolling ill be sure to check it out again next year.
The builds get bigger and bigger it seems, but I see the jokes are just as.....interesting as ever. Haha. I feel like I've missed so much in the past year or two, but this was a great way to get caught up. Thanks, Chris.
Wow I totally missed the whole Mocies experience didn't I. I remember you mentioned it and it just slipped my mind. Sorry bout that Chris, I was kind of in another place at that time... didn't even know I was up for 2 Mocies! Madness. Stu's stand up had me squealing with laughter. All in all it must have been great fun. Wish I could turn back time and participate in this one.
Hi,I have a problem where I was accused of doing some spamming on MOCpages. I tried to tell Sean I didn't do it and he hasn't responded and it has been over a month. I know what happened and know why he got the mix-up.I then came to you because you are a MOD and can help me. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you will help. Thanks.
congratulations to the winners!!! and thank you chris for a great show again! thanks to all that voted for me!!! i had things to take care, could nt be present, but, i ll try to work even harder this year! sorry that i have nt had time to vote for anyone...next year!!! good luck to all!!!
Hi Chris and any admin who would read me! I know one of Mocpages' server recently went down.
I'm very sad to see all my MOCs' pictures and buddy icons have gone! I've seen the same for lots of people here: Mark Kelso's Invisible Hand and Christophe Cortay's Vulcan don't have their pics loading anymore either. Does that mean the server is still in maintenance? Am I the only one to have this issue? Does that mean we will have to upload all our pics, and organize and comment them again?!?
Thanking you in advance for an answer. Regards - Jerome.
Haha...Great "MOCies"! A 70's bowling alley is just the place too, almost as good as watching "Wipeout"! Great job everyone! I must say that I was rather surprised to be nominated twice, I hardly even knew my name had been mentioned *whispers* I didn't even build for the MOCies, but thanks all the same! There's always next year...
Nice job once again Mr. Phipson. It is amazing to me that you can do all that you do for the pages and still have time for a regular life and Lee. I was completely surprised to be nominated and more surprised to win, so thanks a bunch.
Nice build and story! Congrats to all the winners!

These are great! I remember that I started on mocpages ust in time for the very first mocie awards. Too bad my series wasn't finalist this year. But it's a working progress and I still have my hopes. Best of luck, Supreme Overlord Commander, sir. Now if you'll excuse me I would very much like to weep
Wow, Deus lost it there. Hey even though my dragon mocs didn't get nominated I'm not complaining. It's been a awesome year, and it got me to build better in the process. What's more important? Winning an award while getting some fame or evolving your skills and improving? You can't turn into a master moccer in a day. It takes time.
First time I realize that there is a Mocie Awards, somehow I overlooked it before, what a shame. Wonderful idea and very well presented! Congrats to all winners. Moc pages is full of great, amazing and funny Moc's, it's really fun to watch it.
Hahaha! I laughed a lot! And I was very happy, my dear big sub was nominated!
I was surprised too: among all the great Mocs here, mine was choosen! That means other stuffs are coming...
Thanks to every nice people who voted for Titan! =)
Nice show, Chris! Some funny stuff here, but the bowling alley itself is worthy of praise as well. Congrats to winners, blah, blah, blah. The Mexican Midget is, of course, pure comedy gold, and actually having met Tyler I can honestly say those legs might just be a little short. All in all, I enjoyed it and it's nice seeing people being recognized for what they do. The pratfalls were also a welcome addition to the show. Next year, let's have the winners juggling chainsaws and flamethrowers!
Congrats to all winners - Chris, this is great and thanks for writing up something for me, it hit the spirit of BW exactly... with one exception: I's JOHN Jameson (or as Lee would call it: paint thinner) :-P - Keep em coming, because this is (bleep)ing bull(bleep) :-) - K.
*This is a rant, Phyppy (because you have deleted many of my pages and comments that were never illegal, like constructive criticism or a picture of a brick and some stuff written about my future plans involving LEGO (that's right, Spastle Month was not a contest, maybe if you waited for a response at least 24 hours, seeming that there are time belts and people sleeping at night. If you just waited for 15 hours, sleep and school, wouldn't that be nice?) And by the way, real mature for you to delete a comment saying some MOC you have is overrated! It's not even an isnult! But let me stop ranting in my disclaimer and its disclaimer)* What's so funny about an AT-AT with ice cream? I mean, isn't Jesus Star Destroyer the most hilarious MOC of the past year? It's a starship, shaped like Jesus Christ! (I guess religious people were insulted by it.) On to another thing. How did my reject of a castle get to the nominations?! There were a dozen awesome castles that never got even mentioned and were better than Sanctuary! I mean, it had horrible rocks, below-standard size, lame tile colours inside, one puny tower and walls that would in reality be broken down with a push of a seven year old girl. I would understand if it were nominated for misc because of its mushrooms (wanna try them? They taste like rainbow!). And third off, what's up with a MOC getting nominated twice, and for misc too, of wich requirements it did not even meet?! At least Three Story Victorian with Tree won MOC of the year and Titan in misc. All in all, a decent award show.
That was ...interesting. Anyways congrats to all the winners (and weirdos) during this long and fun year. Perhaps next time I'll be more worthy to participate.
P.S. The location that you used for the MOCie Awards reminds me of the ending scene of "There Will Be Blood". I think you're now allowed to say "I'm finished!" with the whole MOCie business. However, next up is the MOColympics!
Another success, and at a fun venue! Thanx for putting up such a great shoe Chris, this really is THE premier event on the pages. Between the Moccies and the Moc Olympics, this site MO will always be interesting. Congrats to all nominees, all very deserving, and even bigger congratulations to the winners. Bragging rights forever!!! Hahaha, and Stu, what a speech! And Barto, so say we all!!!
Yay! thanks everybody! I'm actually a TFOL now, as of 7th july, and since then my armpits have been sweating hard out, and people have commented on my growing moustache and cracking voice. thanks everybody for voting for me!
haha Huge congratulations to everyone who won and award this year. I hope one day to win an award myself but that it highly unlikely to happen unfortunately. Hilarious moc as always and a fantastic Pre-show moc too. Loved the mid-show entertainment as well!
Haha, very nice work Chris! Congrats to all winners and nominees! Good work all around. And mr. Delahay, I am not going to send you hatemail. I'm going to send you a love letter. I want to have your babies.
Congratulations and knowledge of my envy to all the great builders who won stuff. Also, thank you to Chris Phipson for allowing me the pleasure of reading through this and seeing the presentation of more or less the most coveted and prestigious awards on the pages.
And to think that if it wasn't for the midget and Stu's routine, I almost walked out of the show. Now, people have come up with figs for me 2 or 3 times, and I have always been amused until now. (Did you find some way to contact my wife and get her to send you a pic of me?)
Listen to me robdog, I got outside and your 'security' said "Does this rag smell of Chloroform to you?" Next thing i know i'm waking up in a shipping container filled with Megablocks. I've lived in the dark for days on poor quality ABS until the freighter was hijacked off the coast of Somalia. No-one should have to do the things i've done and seen to survive. I've finally fought and bartered my way to control of the tribe's laptop and i will have my revenge!! And payment!!! and Nachos!!!
Great job on the show, love the informal setting and congrats to all the winners. Thanks again for all the hard work on this and the yearly contests too mate. Got to go.
Fighting M'bele for his AK.
Wow that was hilarious! Congrats to all the winners. The Tyler fig was funny :P Stuart was definitely better this year than last, I especially like the "Flare being nominated for funniest MOC" joke, >.>
If you're looking for employment, Stuart, contact me.
Can we nominate this for funniest MOC next year? My god! *wipes a tear*...A HUGE thanks to all who gave me their support in the AFOL Builder of the Year category - you have no idea how much it really means! Chris, thanks for your monumental efforts in putting this together each year, and congrats to all the nominees and winners!
HA HA HA !!! Thank you to make me laugh so much !!! and thank you so much to represent me as a cool black man !! It is one of my dream to be a tall awesome black man..... but unfortunately, I'm not :-(((( Anyway, congratulation to all the cool participating dudes and thank you for your work in organisation and moderating !!
LOL! Love all of the jokes in there. XD Congrats to Tom Simon, a worthy uh...adversary. Please tell me I was runner-up. :P JK. Great job on the MOC as well. Can't wait for next year!
Darn, Oh well, congrats to LWC guy. Sad because that may be my only chance to win something. Hilarious. Let them eat cake! Oh and when I first saw it, it only had 26 views. then I typed up my comment and there were already comments! So you wouldn't have of needed to break it to me anyways. Now my comment is just moving up.
At first I thought Yuri had a typo. Nice one, Fassio. Anyways, onto commenting, congratulating, etc. Thanks to you, Chris, and to all the moderators and judges for keeping MOCpages running and hosting this great contest. Thanks to Stu for providing the comedy, and thanks to all of the nominees for making awesome MOCs. I must say though, the level of arrogance amongst the winners was sadly low. Don't they know that they're supposed to rub it in with a "Ha ha, I beat you!" somewhere in their speech? Ah well, that's what the world is coming to, I guess.
