About this creation
"SMART" doesn't actually stand for anything. It'd be cool if it did. Basically, this robot (and the "SMART Car" are called as such because they perform their desired task as quickly and effectively as possible, using a host of sensors and motors.
This robotic arm is the succeeder of the "Big Arm". It is thinner, and more lightweight. This reduces the "bounce" factor. It still uses worm gears: a practical choice for arms as they lock when the motors are off, so the arm doesn't start sagging. This arm is precise, as it moves slowly; and as of yet neither the arm nor the car have been programmed.
