While I'm sure you are backed up with requests, I want to ask you something, There is a video game series that I like called Star Fox. Despite it's name it is actually very good. Anyway, one of the characters has a star ship that can transform into a giant floating head and hands. It looks like you could do. Here's a video. I believe the transformation is from 0.17 to 0.55. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfzI0oyyWVU&feature=related
Roach you can't deny it, you have to make it!
BTW great job as always!

Anyway, excellent work, it's very accurate to the original toy (I didn't have grapple, but I had Inferno, pretty much the same toy). Keep up the good stuff :) |

the ball joints are also available on Pick a Brick. You can get the 2 x 2 with socket or ball you cannot get the 2 x 2 with ball on each end anymore though. But I did not use one of those in this model!

Ok, but I ment more like the ball joints, sorry I got to be more specific.

Ahum, Abominus, ahum!
Great Grapple, he is a great character.
There is just nothing else to say. It's just so awesome, and I got 2 questions: Where do you buy/ order those joints from? And could you make Zeta Sentinel Prime?

Mr. Phipson, I am toying with some ideas for another combiner I just can't decide which one! But likely that won't start construction till the fall or winter! My Lego "to do" list is just too long.
Thanks for your continued support!
sincerely,
Mr. Roach

Lookin' great as always Chris. Your stuff is just always top notch in both build and nostalgia! I've got a challenge for ya though... (no, not Unicron). You've already done Fort Max so I'll avoid Omega Supreme, but what about stepping up on the combiner side of the tracks? Maybe the Protectobots or the Predicons! (ohh, that would be cool... Predaking!) Just some food for thought. Thanks for sharing! ~ Chris.

Hi Chris, Too right. I am never happy with my creations (even after posting) and always want to improve them. I am planning a v2 of jetfire but I hope to start a completely new transformer today. I think I've caught the legoformer bug, I blame you entirely :)

the crane doesn't need to be used as a support he's well balanced and sturdy without it, so that could be a V2 option!

I think the internet monster gobbled up my original comments. Anyway, nice job on this one! I like the mirrors on the cab. The only thing that might make it better is if the crane boom could telescope. It looks like it supports him in robot mode so, I suppose it can't.
