The map only uses sections from the Waldurk set. All sections are built as shown in the Waldurk instructions except as follows:
Disassemble one rock path section. Add the dark gray game space and the four pip base to the end of a different rock path section to make a 3 space rock path section.
Disassemble the brown start section. Locate a short grass path section and place one brown piece under the light green end. Place the remaining light gray game space form the disassembled rock path on top of the brown piece, and place the other brown piece underneath to make a grass/ rock path 3 spaces long.
Start with the crossroad section with the green space to the top left. Place a long grass path section to the left and right side of the crossroad. Place a rock path section to the bottom.
Place a bush section onto the ends of both long grass paths. Place a blue teleport circle on the last space of each of these two paths. Place a spider on each of these blue circles. Place a goblin 3 spaces from the light gray space in the crossroad on both paths.
Attach a tree section to the rock path at the bottom. Attach the 3 space grass/rock path to the tree section. This is the start zone.
Place a magic door on the dark gray crossroad space that currently has not path connected to it. Place a short grass path next to the door. Place an open treasure chest next to the magic door. Place a gold piece on top of the open chest.
Attach the second tree section to the short grass path. Place a rock path section to the left and right of the tree section. Place a bush section on the end of both rock paths sections. Place a blue teleport circle on the last space of each of these two paths. Place a bat on each of these blue circles.
Attach the 3 space rock path to the second tree section. Place a magic door on the path with an open treasure chest next to it. Place a gold piece and a healing potion on to of the open chest. Attach the Druid HQ to the path. Place a goblin in the HQ in front of the Goblin General. Place a potion bottle on the head of the Goblin General. Place a gold piece on a wall pip.
The Making of a Thief
He did not grow up in a poor family, nor was it a rich family. He always had the things the he needed, but there sometimes were still things that he wished he could have.
He had more than once heard people around the village mention the goblin that lived deep in the forest and robbed people that tried to use the forest paths. Merchants seemed to be afraid to travel through the forest and often would go well out of their way to avoid the forest. One day a merchant who had passed through the forest came to the village. All the merchant's merchandise and money had been stolen from him by goblins as he passed through the forest, and he had been injured as well. People discussed going into the forest to clear out the goblins, but it ended up just being talk, not one went into the forest.
'I think that if I got rid of that goblin that the merchants would be happy and maybe I would get a reward' he thought. I'm pretty strong, the goblins can't beat me.
So he prepared himself for the adventure, taking along enough food to last several days. He was familiar with the edge of the forest and soon was headed deeper into the trees. Ahead of him was something shiny! Laying there on the path was a piece of gold! He picked it up and continued on the path. Soon he came to a small clearing. The path branched off to the left and right, but ahead of him the path seemed to continue but was almost completely obstructed. He tried to use the path and was finally able to see though the branches - and he saw a treasure chest. It was open, and there was gold in it!.
Try as he might, he could not get through the branches. Perhaps he could follow the other paths and get to it from a different side. He turned down a side path and resumed walking. He had not gone far when he spotted a goblin on the path. 'That must be the goblin that is causing the trouble. This will be easy.' He attacked and defeated the goblin, but the goblin had nothing of value. He continued along the path and spotted a shiny blue disk on the ground - with a spider sitting on top. He defeated the spider and picked up the disk, but it didn't seem to be of any value. He returned to the clearing. The treasure chest was still there, but he still could not get to it. He turned and went along the other path. Again he found a goblin that had nothing, and traveling past found a second blue disk with a spider on it. He thought about leaving it alone, but maybe this blue disk was worth something. He defeated the spider but found this disk to be just like the first.
He returned to the clearing. The treasure was still there, but now he could get through to it! He quickly picked it all up and saw that the path now continued on from the clearing. Farther along the path there was another crossroad and again the way ahead was blocked but seemed to contain an open treasure chest, with gold and some other items visible. But again he could not make his way through to reach the treasure. He went along one of the side paths and soon came to a spider sitting on yet another blue disk. These blue disks seemed important so he attacked the spider and picked up the disk. He turned around and followed the other side path with the same result. Now to see if he could get to the treasure - and he could! He grabbed the gold and also a small bottle. As he was thirsty he opened the bottle and drank the contents. It tasted good and he felt great. The wounds he had received in his battles were all healed.
He looked farther down the path and saw a goblin standing in front of a fancy house. With his strength returned he was confident that he could defeat the goblin, and he did. But now he was face to face with a much stronger looking goblin.
"So you are the creature that is taking my gold! I want it all back now!" roared the goblin. The fight was hard, but at last the goblin was destroyed. A bottle rolled out from the defeated goblin, so he quickly picked it up and drank the contents. This did not taste so good, and he didn't feel stronger. He looked around and saw that there was gold in the walls of the house - his gold now! He decided that he really liked gold, and he wanted more of it!
