Minifig scale Tank and other creations from the random box
Another set of creations from my box of LEGOs I take on road trips. This time I built a Tank and a Plane, my cousins James and Gordon also built a lot of stuff. Remember this is just a box of random parts that I through together, so parts were rather limited. Also my cousins are only 13 years old but they are still decent builders for their age.
About this creation
Minifig scale Tank
This is probably the first tank that I have ever made to Minifig scale, and one of the first tanks I have ever made. Not including the APCs, which Iím sure sucked, I made in 3rd grade, this is the 3rd tank I have ever made. It took me about 3 days to make it, working on and off of coarse, I was at the beach, I was spending most my time eating pizza and riding the waves! One of the most challenging parts was making the treads attach. I only had 4 treads in the entire box and they were the short, rubber ones. I also wanted to make it have a suspension but I didnít have the right parts, which is why the tank sits so high, I wanted to make it much lower but my improve-suspension was rather bulky. I also made it have a top mounted machine gun turret and the driver can open the top hatch, though you must take off his legs to make it look like he is sticking out, the turret isnít hollow. The main gun is also capable of moving up and down. I wanted to make the tank have a green/black/brown camo paint job, but with the lack of green/black/brown parts I had to go for a red/green camo paint job. Even with all the inconsistencies itís still a pretty good Minifig scale tank for my first try, especially with the parts I had to work with.

My tank, plane, and all the other stuff my cousins made:
You would have to ask them what all their stuff is; we all just made a bunch of military stuff then flew/drove them around the house and pretended to blow each other up. I think their last thing is a base of some sort; my cousin James had a bunch of Minifigs with him and some brick arms so the base looks kinda empty without them.

Their base:

My tank and plane:

My plane:
This plane was the last thing that was built with the LEGOs I brought so as you can see I was really scraping the bottom of the box. Even with so few parts left I still made it have retractable landing gear and some simple weapons. I sort of based it on the F-15 strike Eagle, but it doesnít look that much like one so I guess I will call it the F-15 strike whatever. :P

The F-15 Strike Whatever:

So I am done with these, any suggestions for modifications (you can still make them though) will probably not be added to the creations. They are still built with my ďRandom BoxĒ (Iím really liking that name) so they will be scraped on the next road trip I take and built into new stuff. At the latest that will be October of 2011.

I know it's called a F-15 Strike Eagle, that is what I tried to build but with so few parts it didn't come out right, so I decided to call mine a F-15 Strike Whatever to make fun of my fail.
