This mini-review focuses on how to identify 8805 Minifigures Series 5 figures in their packets so you can avoid purchasing doubles.
The parts to feel for are listed next to the name of each minifigure as well as warnings of minifigures with similar parts.
Graduate- The 2x2 tile and the hat are unique to this minifigure so feel for the hat and then check by finding the tile.
Gladiator- This minifigure's helmet is very bulky and is easy to identify. You can also identify him by feeling his sword and his shield. Make sure the shield has a raised stud and the sword is pointed- the Evil Dwarf has similar accessories.
Royal Guard- This is one of the easiest ones to feel, the hat is an easy piece to find and once you have found it you can check by finding the rifle.
Ice Fisherman- Like with the Fisherman and Gnome the fishing rod gives this minifigure away. In this series there are no accessories like it so once you have found it you can be pretty sure you have found an Ice Fisherman.
Cave Women- The easiest identifiable piece of this figure is the club. It is the same as the Series 1 Caveman's. Finding the bone and feeling the rubber of this figure's hair is also a good way to identify her.
Lizard Man- The lizard man is one of the most anticipated minifigures in this series and can be found quite easily once you find the tail piece. It is long and has a clip on the end to fit onto the neck of a torso. Make sure you can feel the scales on the tail- the length of this piece makes it similar to the snowboard that the Snowboarder Guy carries.
Zookeeper- Although the monkey is a unique piece to this series the banana is the most identifiable piece in the Zookeeper's packet.
Lumberjack- The cap this figure has is like the one on the Series 3 Baseball Player. Once you find it make sure it only has a peak on one side- the Detective minifigure has a hat that feels similar but has 2 peaks. You can also feel for the axe in the packet but check it has the blade at the end unlike the Evil Dwarf's which has separate blade pieces.
Small Clown- Its mini legs and pie are good identifiers of this figure. Check that those are all you can feel though- the Dwarf has mini legs and a round shield that could confuse you if you aren't careful.
Fitness Instructor- The boom-box this minifigure carries is easy to find but check it is rectangular or it might be the Gangster's violin case. Her hair is also easy to find but can be confused with the Royal Guard's hat if you only feel on of the sides. Make sure the hair has only one textured side before making up your mind.
Detective- Feel for the magnifying glass and the double-peaked hat to identify this minifigure.
Evil Dwarf- To find this figure you will need to identify the mini legs, the pole (with no attachments) and the 2 axe blades. If you don't find them all you may get a Small Clown and if you are really not paying attention you might even choose a Lumber jack.
Boxer- His boxing gloves are part of his hands so feel for the torso of this figure and then his helmet with a gap in it.
Egyptian Queen- The easiest figure of them all to find- the huge brick that is her dress is easy to find and is unique to her.
Gangster- This figures case is a good indicator, but make sure it isn't a 1x3 brick or you have a Fitness Instructor. The hat this figure wears is like the Series 1 Cowboy's, so try find that too.
Snowboarder Guy- The easiest to find after the Egytian Queen- his snowboard is unmistakable.
I hope that you find this guide useful and that it helps you complete your set of 16 or just helps you find the figures you want.
