This is version 1 of my six-year old son's castle, which took him many hours to build. He initially wanted black and red, but the red pieces had yet to arrive. As such, we went with black and green for V.1.
This one has a bit more of my input (especially randomization of the green bricks), but was mostly my son's design. He was relentless at placing the bricks even when his fingers started to hurt.
He chose his knights from bricklink and his army is over 60 strong.
Unfortunately, in his last battle with his sister's army, her female warriors vanquished his army and razed his castle to the ground (we have resorted to rolling dice to determine the winner of individual battles). It is now being rebuilt in his originally desired black and red, and will return better than ever. The new design will include elements from the many wonderful castles we have seen on these pages.
Wow, that's hecka good. I like the detail of the regiments especially, how each regiment has its own color scheme and weapon class, and how each individual unit fits in its class so well. I also like how the castle has that mossy appearance to it. Of course, if I had a sister who smashed my castle to bits, I would not be too happy with her.
I wish i had a family like that. Im the only one in my house who takes legos seriously, and if i told my other family i was spending money on legos, they would probably be a bit surprised. Very nice - your 6 year old, already having 60 + men!? my 12 year old sister only has like 15 or 20, and they aren't really all knights! lol. I forget how many i have.. have to count soon
6? 6 year old son?? your 6 year old son made that!?!? wow O_O that is really something! this creation is one peice of work and it is amazing that a 6 year old made this! heck i could never make something like this!
