White Death of the New Crusade.
About this creation
The Expeditionary Fleets of Vaticos' elite Templars are composed solely of advanced FTL warships. Their mission is to shepherd Mobile Gateways across the long reaches of space, capture and hold positions within target systems, and protect the Gateways while they create wormhole links back to Vaticos for full invasion forces.

Longinus is the newest, fastest, and most terrifying addition to the juggernaut-weight ships of the Expeditionary Fleet. Evolutions in drive system technology and internal gravitational control means this archangel of the stars approaches tiny fighters in terms of speed and maneuverability, while allowing it the size to out-match everything but the Birghtstar stations in terms of raw firepower. More than anything else, this ship has changed the nature of warfare in the era of the New Crusade.

Standard compliment for an Expeditionary Fleet: 4.

The entire design concept of the Longinus is concentrated around the high-speed frontal attack. Every inch of the ship is devoted to the task of destroying anything in front of it.

A traditional in-system kinetic-field drive traverses the entire length of the Longinus' lobster-back, giving it the grace of a dancer even at top speeds.

It carries four heavy mid-range offensive turrets, and a handful of smaller defensive installations, but the real teeth of the Longinus lie in the Trans-L missile tubes and the gargantuan anti-mass drivers at the end of the "arms".

There is a landing bay amidships along the underside. The crew and living space is small, less than a dozen Templars and their Acolytes, and no lesser cyborgs.

The main engines are a hybrid design, blending standard in-system and FTL drive technologies, yielding an overall drive system capable to push this monster to unheard-of speeds even in normal-space high-maneuver battles. It is a juggernaut-size hip which can dogfight.

Really great work, I would personally like the shaping i the orientation were backwards, sort of like the Normandy. There are however no shortage of ships like that, it's more unique this way. Cool either way.

Interesting back-story, it makes for a good addition to the build. I'm not a huge fan of mini-scale, but this is a unusual design - which is good. Nice work.

I love the pronged shape of this, and the coloration of it is quite pleasant. I also like how you've really thought out what each part of the ship does– your description is interesting, as one can see precisely what you're talking about. Very nice work!
